They wasted no time in ~~killing off every character of note who wasn't a robot or Wookie~~ and replacing them with unknown talent. That means the actors have no pull. Anyone who can say, "I don't like what you're doing with this character," is already dead. The rest can get the Iron Man 2 treatment and have a, "Yes, it's me," joke about a character being recast. The brand name "Star Wars" is supposed to be the reason you watch the movies and nothing else. The crazy thing is that they managed to pull it off successfully.
