i voted in the 2015 and 2019 federal elections, and the 2018 ontario election. i did not vote in the 2015 alberta election because i just didnt know anything about it

I have voted from the time I was old enough too. All elections local, state and national. I take my voting right very serious because we have a certain faction in this country trying to dissuade people from voting by using dirty tactics in my opinion such Voter Id etc and now we have judges purging voters from the rolls and most of those people being purged just happen to be African-American people.

That has no real impact on whether you get called in for jury duty, since you'd still be eligible for the pool through other means.

Yes, but I'm pretty much a buzzkill, I can almost guarantee that what I vote for will fail. I couldn't in conscience vote for either of the idiot candidates in the last Presidential election so wasted my vote for an independent. I did have some success in the last local election, my vote for mayor lost, but my vote against changing a traditional street name succeeded.

Like Zeus said, you're on record for jury duty with drivers license, car registration, personal property tax, real estate, probably other things.

I've voted in every federal and provincial election since I turned 18 in 2010, except for the 2011 federal election.

My local candidate for the party I supported was corrupt, so I wouldn't vote for him. So I just didn't go vote.

Side note, in every election I've voted in, the local candidate I've voted for has never won. The party I've voted for has won a couple times, but never my local candidate. So every vote I've ever cast has been useless.

That doesnt. They would still try to call you in. That being said, just dont say you received the letter. Like, they dont know if the letter got to you if theres no signature required. Or go out of town and call in saying you cant make it. Or whatever. My SO and I both missed ours due to being out of town at the time (pre-made plans) and nothing seemed to happen. Not to mention, I havent been called back...

For local and state level stuff all the time, but on national level elections I usually abstain or put in a joke vote because I am not in a "swing" state so my vote really doesn't matter.
