A worker placement game with two types of worker meeples- I'm thinking a sci-fi setting where it would be droids and humans. Placing a droid on a space gets you better rewards than a human (because droids are more efficient workers), but a human can be assigned to a space that already has a droid, kicking the droid off (because droids don't have rights), and players only get resources at the end of the round if their workers are still present.

So- anyone know if there's a game that does this? Or if not, do you think a game like this would be cool if I had a go at mocking up some more rules?

Sounds intriguing. Even though it's very different, it reminds me a bit of Broom Service.

anachrony has tiered workers where your workers need a spacesuit to go outside and perform most actions (your unsuited workers stay inside and can work on your ship)

kicking people off a space can happen in an old game called carson city. but in general, i think kicking workers off of spots is pretty rare in WP games.

in general, the "less efficient stops more efficient"/"someone else wanting this action makes it less efficient for you" paradigm has appeared a few times. i believe glass road has something like this, where you want to be the only person who chooses an action. broom service has something where you can either choose to perform your action in a guaranteed, cowardly way (and get a guaranteed, small reward) or a brave way (where others who have that card will prevent you from executing it, but the potential reward is bigger)

none of those is WP, though. i think the idea is clever and workable. you can make blocking/rewards for droids greater depending on how mean you envision the game being.

I feel like it should be reversed, where you can kick humans off with droid meeples because theyre cheaper and more expendable.
