I'm surprised they didn't do a proper New Earth and erase the multiverse to set up Infinite Crisis later. I thought it was good, final battle was a let down. I'm wondering how Flash's timeline was changed.

Off the top of my head:
  • It's demonstrated very clearly that the world is used to Supergirl, Batwoman, Flash, and the Legends teaming up. For the Legends, this indicates a familiarity with the general population that they didn't originally have.
  • Lex Luthor is no longer a known criminal. In fact, we're introduced to the new Earth with him receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. He also runs the DEO.
  • As previously mentioned, Diggle got the daughter that Barry erased in Flashpoint back. Similarly, Superman has at least one extra son and - going by Lois saying they "got into trouble" when she previously had an infant child - are probably older.
  • It's also worth mentioning that Superman didn't get the memories of the original Superman. While the Martian Manhunter caught him up to speed, Superman probably shouldn't have any in-built prejudice against Lex Luthor, hero of the people.
  • Lena didn't get her original's memories back. While I kind of doubt they're going to wipe out the terrible plotline she had going on in the first half of this season, she should also have no problem with Lex. Indeed, LCorp is now called LexCorp again.
  • IIRC, I think STAR Labs in this world actually fixed the giant hole in their roof.
  • I think Cisco still has his superpowers?
  • This is entirely speculation on my part, but I think the crossover was meant to imply that it's a little more goofy and comic booky than the original universe. We've had goofy comic book shit before, but this crossover included dude calling himself Sargon the Sorcerer while dressed like a magician. His plan was to summon a giant, living Beebo toy as a distraction while he robbed a bank.
  • Black Lightning's plotline is now going to be super weird. For one thing, Supergirl tends to portray the president as good while BL revealed a few episodes ago that he (she now?) was directly involved in covering up the metahuman experiments and military occupation happening in Freeland. It's also going to beg the question of why BL doesn't take advantage of the Supercousin's relationship with the president to help end the occupation. Additionally, it's weird that the ASA is trying so hard to create metahumans with Green Light when Flash has established that it's really easy to create metahumans with dark matter.
  • Oh, one more another topic reminded me of. Supergirl established super heavily that aliens are not only on Earth, they are so well-known that there are lawns and political movements about them. That's new to Flash, BL, and Arrow.
And this is probably something that won't be brought up, but they did not restore and merge the original universes. This is a brand new universe with brand new dopplegangers of their original friends and families. If I were Supergirl, every time I hugged my sister, I'd be thinking, "This isn't the real Alex, this is just a copy of her."

to be fair, even in Black Lightning's tie in episode for Crisis shows the Earth 1 and 2 of Black Lightning and shows the ASA exists there as well and to note

I do wonder if Clark's sons are gonna be John and Chris, Chris being the real son of Zod that Clark adopts

I'm surprised Felicity didn't come back. I swear Stephen Amell said she'd be back one more time.

I also wonder what the deal is with Laurel.

I think it's implied Jon brought back their old selves when he made them remember what happened. Although we probably won't find out if they now have memories of two lives which is really weird.

Even though they called them Earth 1 and Earth 2, they can't be. Earth 2 was already destroyed by that point.
