I think some parts of it are very good. Others, not so much. I would say this is a pretty enjoyable first season. But there is room for improvement for season 2. Having said that, this show definitely surpassed my expectations.

I liked it more than the last few seasons of game of thrones. I was not a fan of the witcher before, but now it's on my list to play all 3 games and I have the first one loaded on my computer already.

I've been wanting to watch it. But the GF also wants.to watch it. I think I'm just about done waiting for her and will be watching it on my own. I'm tired of waiting. She can watch it by herself whenever she gets around to it.

I was not too sure about reading the books before but now after the first season and being almost done with the first game, I think I'll give the book series a try before continuing with the second and third game. I'd admit, something as simple as learning about a character and their relationships/interaction in the show and then hearing about them or seeing them in the game suddenly makes the game that much more enjoyable for me.
