Ive bought complete editions and game of the year editions that come after the fact and have all the DLC, but Ive never bought one preemptively before the dlc was out to make sure its good.

Never bought a collectors edition.

I bought Catherine: Full Body Premium Edition. That comes with the soundtrack, art book, steel book case, and a sheep plushie from the game. The packaging for the edition was in this rectangular prism shape - the size of a small UPS package. Im a little salty with this edition however, as the steel book case didnt come with a cover sleeve, which for some reason the launch edition for pre-ordering the game did. Its very jarring to have the spine just be a pink bar rather than the traditional PS4 spine.

I also bought the Kingdom Hearts 3 Deluxe edition. That came with an art book, the original Ps4 case, a steel book, and a pin. Not really convinced that this was worth the extra $20 I paid for at launch, but I was hype beyond belief for the game, so I bought into it.

I have the Persona 5: Royal phantom thieves edition on pre order. Im excited for that.

Hell yeah. Uncharted 4, The Last Guardian, The Order, Catherine, Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, Mafia 3, all the Yakuza ones, Persona and other SMT, the list goes on and on

I bought the TOR collectors edition off of kijiji from some guy when it first came out because it was sold out everywhere. I got it for $20 cheaper than retail because he had an extra one. I don't remember the reason he had two but I didn't really care either.

I got the collector edition of BOTW and was quite happy with it. I even kept the box, which has nice art on it and which I use to store various knick-knacks.

It also had a higher tier which came with a Master Sword replica but I didn't want that

I bought the Persona 5 Weeb Your Heart edition.

Until I left for Korea I used the Sujin messenger bag almost every day.

Only collector's edition I ever bought was for InFamous 2. Had a pretty cool slingpack/backpack that I still use to this day

Lunar 2 Eternal Complete Collector's Edition for the PS1

Got the most expensive edition of Mortal Kombat 9. Came with all the DLC paid for up front (I think) and an art book for the game, as well as a Scorpion and Sub-Zero bookends. Still use those actually

I remember this actually! I really wanted that bagpack, but, like, that costed money, you know... I still ended up eventually getting and loving InFamous 2.

I recall also wanting the remote controlled RC-XD car that came with the special edition of Black-Ops 1 but there was no way I was paying $200 for a damn Call of Duty game lol

Well back then it was just the normal edition, but by today's standards it would surely be marketed as a collector's edition.

Ultima 9: Ascension

It came with a cloth map of the game, a book for spellcrafting, a book for alchemy and a monster compenduum. It also contained a set of fate cards that were used in game to determine your starting class.

Uncharted 3, Skyward Sword (wanted the gold Wiimote with Wii Motion Plus as I didn't have one), Diablo III (mostly because I wanted digital copies of Diablo II and LOD which I lost years before and wanted the game), and ESO.

Have my Molag Bal statue on my bookshelf.

i don't really count GOTY editions as collector. but i haven't bought one of those before.
have bought a few games at full price though mostly due to missing out on bonuses ie stick of truth and cheaper DLC for borderlands 3.
