I'm an Independent but I lean left, so I voted "Liberal". Truth be told, a decade or so ago I took a thorough (multi-hour) test and confirmed that I technically agreed with the right on more issues than the left, but all the issues I found to be the most important (social issues, education, etc.) were issues where I aligned more with the left. Today, I imagine I'd line up even more with the left, namely because the Republican party changing greatly due to the Tea Party and the Trump administration. A lot of the things they believe in are things that I greatly disagree with.

Mostly liberal.

Do you genuinely believe that? Democrats/Liberals love all forms of immigrants, legal, illegal, kidnapped children, they don't care, as long as they come into the USA because the overwhelming majority of minorities vote Democrat.

I also don't believe that the majority of republicans / conservatives are flat out against things like Free Healthcare, Financial aid, welfare, etc. The problem is that they see how easy it can and has become corrupted. The majority of sane people wouldn't mind helping someone that literally can't work because of physical/mental handicaps or a person who is trying their best but is really down on their luck or a veteran. The problem is that it is extremely abused.

"Why work at a grocery store for minimum wage when I can stand on a street corner all day doing nothing while making way more money than I would make working 40 hours a week?" If people don't see how that's a problem then I seriously don't know.

They fall into a trap. I'm voting left because the left offers free things > Why work when I can get things for free > Since I'm not working I need free things> The left offers free things > I'm voting left because the left offers free things.

They become completely and entirely dependent on the government which is NOT good. Is it so wrong that hard working Americans want some kind of checks and balances? I don't know, maybe make them pass a drug test? If they are not working at least make them prove they are attempting to get a job? If they can't work then prove why they can't work? Why do they deserve MY help when they won't even help themselves? What makes them entitled to my earnings? Why should I even bother working then?(again this is in reference to people that can work but chose not to)

It's getting ridiculous how much of a welfare state all of the west has become, I'm not too sure about Europe but with how left you all claim you are I'm sure it's not much better.
