The comments thing still gets me on certain videos. And a lot of channels are making their own website. But gotta subscribe. I think some channels have slowed down in videos. And some of the smaller channels I watch might stop making them soon...

They're not.
All of my regular content is still being served to me. There has been no absence in Pokemon challenge runs and Japanese asmr for example.

The menu has started being open by default, which makes me want to hand deliver my displeasure into someone's face.

I've only noticed people joking about it because it's very easy to avoid.

I like to listen to creepypasta narrations, and thankfully, YouTube's policies haven't affected them much. The only thing is narrators have to censor some words in their videos' titles, like "kill", "death", and "horror."

Welp, This topic sparked me to go through my subs. And a lot haven't posted since last year. This includes stuff like RC reviews, model makers, music creators, cooking vloggers, and tame stuff.

I also realized that a little known content creator that I used to loved hasn't uploaded a video in two years :( I knew he had health issues, hope he is okay.

I have the design change reverted by some code I found on reddit, so not affecting me at all

Only change I noticed is I can't hold the rewind button the the remote for it to rewind. Also, the menu pops up randomly during the videos and I have to hit a button to see the actual video after I choose play. Otherwise it'll be a black screen or stay on the ad

It's like it needs to update or something.

Most of mine aren't affected although a few have comments disabled.

The creators quitting YouTube clearly don't understand that the changes aren't some sweeping thing. It's literally check a box when you upload a video that marks it as Child Friendly. As long as you do that right, nothing adverse will happen.

I like ArmouredSkeptic/Shoe0nHead, Jeff Holiday, Drunken Peasants (pre-nerf), TJ Kirk, Blaire White, Viced Rhino, Professor Stick, Logicked (who is practically my neighbour... I could walk and go see him if I knew where ish he was), Skallagrim, and Suris.

EDIT: I think what it is is I was looking for people attacking the sophistry of the alt+left and the only people doing it were on the right, but now that the alt+left has calmed down... the attackers are putting out garbage of their own.

A lot of people like Carl are really alt-right, or close to it but refuse to identify like that. People who believe in traditional white values and all of that garbage.

The weird auto-generated spider-man Elsa shit on YouTube needed to die and I for one am glad they went for the source of the problem.

The big bad COPPA will have casualties, but just remember spider-man Elsa videos and realize the sacrifice is worth it. Most people on YouTube bitch because they cover outrage, they never think critically about it. I promise you every single person whoe freaked out about Elsa spider-man and demanded they do something about it also freaked out about COPPA, the response to weird children targeting videos.

The problem comes around and you bitch about it. The response comes and you freak out about it. If you don't want "censorship" don't beg for it. If you want big changes don't expect it to go smoothly.

I can't find any of the videos because hopefully they were taken down, but 2 years ago there was a cesspool of creepy children's videos with spiderman and elsa and Iron Man and who knows what getting pregnant, cheating on each other, it was weird

A bunch of videos used Else and Spiderman to make a bunch of weird videos for kids since kids liked Else and Spiderman. Which no one really cared about. They were weird, but whatever. It wasn't really a big problem. I'd rather have those stupid videos over COPPA...
