It is like, what if I just want to have yellow teeth?

i got yellow teef :(

my dental hygiene has always been terrible yet my teeth have always been relatively white. so glad i ended up with my dads teeth rather than my mom, who has these really craggy gross yellow teeth

Yellow teeth are easy to avoid. Just brush twice daily. If you're a smoker well that's on you.

Like he's ignorant to the situation, cause last time I checked it would break me financially. Id have to pretty much choose between my house and new teeth. Im not moving back in with my mom. Plus, last time I was there, they left me with my mouth pried(?) open way too long and now my jaw shifts a little when I open too wide. It's uncomfortable

It would basically be them shining a light on the depth of our problem and then confirming that we don't have the money or insurance to actually do anything about that problem. That's not what I consider a productive day mentally.

Im at the point Id just get dentures tbh. My mom had them at 19 and said people never noticed. Of course, she's a woman so maybe people just didn't clown her. But I could easily take the backlash of that in exchange for not being nearly as insecure about completely smiling. Id feel like a new man for sure. It would definitely be a bomb to drop on women tho lol.

Likewise, been a problem my entire life. When I was a kid my first stepmom had me get a spacebar. Sure it may have helped a bit but I think it fucked up my alignment for adulthood.

Eh i went to the dentist got a filling, dentist didnt completely fill the cavity so after 10 years it continued under the filling and regular dentist checkups missed it until i had to have the tooth pulled because there wasnt enough structure to do a root canal.

i got to the dentist, i brush floss and use listerine twice daily, my teeth still are fucked because of bad genetics and no amount of dentistry can save them. When people say go to the dentist they simply dont have a clue. My teeth are straight and a little off white, not yellow but ive needed alot of fillings despite having good dental hygiene.

I had braces when I was 18-20 and they did a decent enough job, mainly to remove the gap in my front teeth. I fucked up and lost my retainers and didn't bother to get them replaced.

Now some gaps in other parts have increased and I want to get them fixed. I'd probably do Invisalign or something

I am 30 and my story is really similar. My mom wasn't on my case and I was skinny, so drinking soda and eating a 10 pack of Reeses was welcomed. The doctors basically told me to eat like shit because of my condition that makes it hard for me to gain weight. They didn't highlight how much Id pay for it with my tooth decay tho. And guess what, I never got that extra weight either lol. Double whammy.

Guess I'm pretty lucky. Never had a cavity, but I think my teeth are pretty yellowish. Like, it looks worse when shining a flashlight on it but in normal lighting it looks white.

Almost (hopefully) done with Invisalign. Seeing ortho on Wednesday and hoping I can quit this shit. I'ts really annoying.

But I assume those things only work if your teeth are still growing.

The cosmetic implant stuff can run up to $25,000 to $35,000.

And that's if you find someone that does it for like $1,000 per tooth.

Growing up. I have hard time talking to people now since I didnt get much practice between K-30

I also talk very quietly because Im used to not opening my mouth all the way when I talk

I also have a speech impediment with Ls and Rs

How much did Invisalign end up costing you? And how long have you had it?

It was $4k. Got 2 years loan with 0% interest.

Got them in June, so it's been just over 6 months now. Hoping I'll get the retainer ordered Wednesday and close this period of life.
