https://www.pcgamer.com/monster-hunter-world-iceborne-review/

this guy basically argue about "morals" of hunting the monster and whining why the game brutally murder monsters and "steal their land" in a series where everything is exagerrated since 2004.

i dunno why he must expect some philosophical/moral babble to be put in the game. it's monster hunter. you hunt monster. i love morally grey games with heavy themes but of course this guy just have to be self righteous about it too. he's getting trashed in the comment at least.

imagine reading other people's reviews on a game you already own and enjoy for no other reason than to get mad at

Capcom has made this for their dedicated fanbase

Literally the most basic entry level game in the whole fucking franchise, meant to be experience by old and new players alike without hitting a wall the moment you pick your weapon.

And this is before i got to the part where the moronic reviewer goes on about how they feel bad they invaded the monsters land... holy fuck who the fuck wrote this

Considering how heavily Wolrd/Iceborne is leaning into (and utterly failing to make interesting) the narrative element for a series that previously didn't have one, I really wouldn't mind if the player was actually made to ponder such moral question. Not that I think it should be a PETA campaign game or anything. Just it would be nice if we're forced to sit through the shit narrative that it has some vaguely challenging content.

Maybe in the next monster hunter you can beat the game with 0 monster kills via stealth.

i wouldn't mind if MH can pull nier automata kind of story, but i rather them focus on the monster hunting part. story is always an afterthought and just random context for you to hunt big shit then bigger shit

One of the biggest complains of people that played the game is how much it forces you to sit through cutscenes before you can actually embark into a quest and play with your friends though.

Also several games later and no one that plays actually gives a shit about the story, the games have never been about that, maybe the reviewer is right and if you didn't get through the game maybe find something different since monhun isn't about that.
