For the hardest B to fill out in the sense of coming up with answers, definitely fight. It just seems like a wierd outlier. As far as feeling too limited, visuals for sure. Could have easily stuffed 2 more into there.

Hardest A was OP, but that was just because it was hard to decide. Don't feel like any of them should have less then 5.

Hardest to fill out in category A was best comedy, since I just don't like comedies as much as serious shows and had to reach into shows that I didn't really find quite deserving of "anime of the decade status"

The ones I wanted more options for were best couple, best cast, and best film. (The latter was an extremely easy choice for the top 3 for me so it wasn't hard in that sense, but there's other films I wanted to give recognition to also)

Best Film was the one that I most wanted to put more noms on. Like Night is Short, Walk on Girl.

Nothing in category A was that hard to reach five for, but maybe Best Male Character because I was missing what should have been an obvious source of them.

My #1 was Madhouse by a landslide. Sora Yori, The Tatami Galaxy, Chihayafuru, Hunter x Hunter, NGNL (mostly care about the movie here), Death Parade...

Also they've got 3 very popular shows that I either didn't watch or didn't care for in Overlord, One Punch Man, and Ore Monogatari.

For studio I think that Madhouse and Shaft were so far ahead of the other ones that it was more like "who do I put for third here?"

The hardest category for A was 100% best OP. I dont really know for the other one. Like 3 choices is not a lot but they are in things that I dont really care to vote for.

I probably shouldve swapped order for my studio picks, but I feel like I picked the best 3 studios. No others even came to mind when I filled it out

Boy judging on these impressions none of my studios might make it lol. Maaaaaaybe my 3rd place pick which honestly was tough to put in 3rd or put in 2nd

White Fox kind of evens out to me to being neutral because they can have Steins;Gate and Re:Zero which is good shit.....but also Grimoire of Zero which is very mediocre and Goblin Slayer which....is Goblin Slayer.

Very surprised that KyoAni is getting no love here.

Madhouse was the only studio that was remotely consistent for me and even then they only had like a 2/3 hit rate for me. (Well, I guess there's TROYCA but I'm not counting them since I only saw 2 of their shows)

Kyo Ani just hasn't been great in the 2010's outside of A Silent Voice, at least not for me. Not even a "not enough space in the submissions" issue, I just think they aren't a good studio anymore.

I mean they're my +1 still. Guess I just really can't help but give them credit for how enthralled I am with Eupho. Probably also helps that I'm that wierdo who doesn't give a shit about any of their pre-2010 content, and only cared about the newer stuff...except I still don't like Violet Evergarden??

So for me it's like a rags to riches thing.

Violet Evergarden is the only new Kyo Ani show I liked! Well, until the ending which I absolutely despised so I still have mixed feelings overall.

I also like Hyouka which was from this decade but for some (probably arbitrary) reason I think of it as an "old" Kyo Ani show, whatever that means.

I went with A1, Madhouse, and KyoAni. I didn't attempt to factor in consistency as a criteria, and let it be weighted by a few of their top series

A-1 is ranked 87 out of 90 for me. There's not much middle ground in my rankings for them.

That said, as much as I liked Kaguya, Erased, Shinsekai Yori and Magi.....I favoured other studios as well.

A1's deal for me is that...there's just so much of them? And they aren't distinct. They're capable of fantastic series, but half the time I don't even know I'm watching an A1 show until I look it up. Compared to most prolific studios, which you know less that a minute in if they made something. Madhouse runs into a similar. Problem nowadays. Some may consider it a good thing, which I get, but to me it just means they don't stand out.

Funnily enough, being what I view as overly reliant on a specific style is exactly why I was so reluctant to vote for Shaft. (who, incidentally, is my #1 rated studio going by the weighted average on MALGraph)

I know based on weighted score kyoani has been at the top of my malgraph and a1 has been at the bottom for a long time
