Eh I dont watch them since they layed off all those people and completely restructured the company. Only thing that was watchable was the podcast till Bernie left it.

That's not really what happened at all, and it changed literally nothing when it comes to AH, but if it's not for you, it's not for you.

Well if you want AH, it wasnt the same after Ray left and then the hired all those other people which turned it into more weird stunts and hijinks then let's plays that were worth watching.

Personally, I think it improved - Jeremy's awesome and Michael mellowed out over time, which make him less annoying that he was originally.

They mostly keep that confined to AHWU and separate videos on their AH channel. The Let's Play channel is entirely gameplay videos.

I'm inclined to agree. While I miss Ray's quick and witty banter (not the same on the streams since he's by himself), Jeremy has been a fantastic addition.

Michael has indeed gotten significantly better. Even just going to some of the earlier Off Topics compared to more recent ones... It's pretty night and day. Most of the podcasts where he gets too drunk are nearly impossible for me to listen to.
And Face Jam is great and I really hope they continue it.

The only slightly "concerning" thing is the amount of people that appear to be leaving of their own free will - which frankly is just more in line with how these companies traditionally work. People bounce around all the time and rarely stay with one organization forever. The fact that they've held onto most of their core talent for this long and have, for the most part, only made additions and not replacements is pretty impressive.

I'm curious to see what the future holds now that they're owned by a massive corporation. May be good (they'll have access to more funds to do stuff), may be bad (more suits deciding what content gets made/continues to be made). Time will tell, but there are a lot of doomsday predictors out there who think the sky is falling.

Ray could definitely be really funny, but he was always a bit of a hit-or-miss scenario. If he was having one of his days where he was just "ironically" meme'ing he could be annoying, and towards the end when he was bitter about behind the scenes stuff and barely interacting it was like, "Why are you even still here?" He's definitely individually funnier (and happier) on his solo streams, but like you say, it also means he doesn't really have anyone to bounce off of and banter with (which is why I almost never watch his solo streams, or solo streamers in general).

I feel like people only really have this inflated view of Ray as comic genius because most people discovered AH when they were in their teens/early 20s, which is when their own sense of humor was almost entirely memes. So they related more to him than anyone else, because he was basically being the same idiot they were. Even if he was actually making fun of them (though like Geoff said, "If you're constantly doing something "ironically', eventually it stops being 'ironic' and just starts being you doing the thing." Like fighting monsters and gazing into the Abyss, etc etc.)

Unfortunately, I'm pretty close to Geoff's age - so I never related to Ray on that level (and found him kind of annoying sometimes). So he was never my favorite member of AH anyway (Ryan usually gets that vote - he thinks and jokes like I do, though I play more like Jack).
