Before I start, I am not being bullied right now, I was just thinking about it for some reason. I was bullied a bit growing up and I feel the best way to deal with them is to pretend they don't exist or give them the pity "your home life must really sucks if you have to bully others" (this usually works better on adult bullies more though, I think not being acknowledged is the thing that people hate the most or reminding them of their negative aspects in life), for the younger ones( that said, only should be done if you are both close in age) is to simply don't take their crap and either beat the fuck out of them or just fight in general (even if you lose, bullies don't like to extend real effort and you fight enough times, they will not consider bullying you worth it and go for a weaker person, from my experience anyway).

During my moments of reminiscing, there are so many things in my past I would change, not fighting back is one of them, but thankfully I wasn't bullied too much, so I guess fighting wasn't needed in my case.

Looking back, I would've just told on em super hard. Like, go full-on soccer mom, fighting to get a word in to the whatever authorities would listen. As a kid, you never want to talk to any authority, and heck, some teachers wouldn't be willing to help anyway. But man, you go to the principal or vice principal or whatever, you guilt up a storm, and I bet they'll solve your problems right quick. Fuck grade school reputation.

That being said: I punched em all in the nose, until I suddenly got really big and nobody wanted to fight me anymore.

As a kid, just fight them even if you lose, or just unexpectedly go HAM on them like when they have their guard down and they are sitting close enough to you in class just grab your chair and just smack it on them.

As an adult. who the fuck knows how to deal with that shit lol

You have to get the "ball" out of your hands, metaphorically speaking. Call attention to whatever it is they're trying to avoid by putting the attention on you, because there is something. Avoiding it usually doesn't work unless you're out of the situation quickly. If you're older, using a direct but condescending tone works well.

Also you might have to fight them but that's usually not as bad as being bullied. Unless they're in a gang, or something. Then you might have to eat shit for a while.

School bullies can grow up to be EITHER successful or failures. Being intelligent enough to recognize and value opportunities has way more impact on odds of success than being an unapologetic arrogant douchebag (and those things DON'T naturally go hand-in-hand). Which is why there's still a shit load of bullies who end up drunken losers barely skating by paycheck to paycheck. Smart bullies are the ones who can typically still manage success because they know what hands not to bite on the way up and what vices to get rid of. Dumb bullies in general still end up as washed up failures because their socially incompetent life choices keep them there...

Fight back. I've seen people bullied, and while I wasn't bullied people tried to take advantage of me. Tell those motherfuckers off, make a scene, beat their asses in. Win or lose, they don't wanna deal with all that shit and will move on. Really the surefire way, and tbh I'll give my children that advice

Also punching someone in the throat will get you a rep as a dirty psycho at any age. A kid who's being bullied probably doesn't need that.

schools don't give af about victims safety, they only care about watchin their own asses and avoiding liability
thats why bullshit like "zero tolerance" guidelines were garbage from day 1
it wasn't done to protect the students, it was done to lower odds of lawsuits towards administration from angry parents

if you're a school employee who sympathizes with the bully victims, okay good for you

zero tolerance was never for students who are victims, it actually screws them over
it was for protecting school admins who's authority has been gradually DIMINISHED since 1980s so now they will get busted for kickin a bully's ass off campus
zero tolerance BENEFITS bullies who don't give af about school and just wanna screw over other kids who do

so if you want to protect your kid whos goin to school, train them in covert ways to defend themselves that wont get them expelled

Pay someone to beat them into submission that is much older than them. After that, do it again using someone else. Even if they are remorseful. Then if they have any younger siblings, threaten them that they are next.

When dealing with bullies, the best way is to dodge by folding yourself backwards. This immediately triggers irl bully-time slowdown, and you can dodge them all.

I personally feel like fighting is the best option, but I grew up knowing how to fight. I understand that that isn't something everybody can do.

Normally bullies pick on kids smaller than them. So you have to assess the situation before you fight back. If he's about the same size, you can have a try. But if he's bigger and stronger, it's best to just walk away.
