Like in the midterms, women broke 52-37 or something like for Democrats as they elected a record number of women to Congress. The last thing anyone should be doing is convincing them to stay home because "you don't really have a shot at a presidency."

All of the candidates have huge hurdles to overcome so this take is pointless. Being a woman is an inherent obstacle but so is being a doddering old man accused of nepotism or a self-proclaimed socialist in a conservative country. It can be overcome. Hillary was not only a woman but also incredibly disliked aside from that.

Warren did complain that some Bernie supporters are saying her base is highly educated, affluent, and those who always vote democrat.

Which is all 100% true. Her base is mostly the same as Pete's which is why when he went up she went down. She just has a greater appeal than white bread and can get a little more.

You can't just change Hillary's gender in a vacuum. Hillary's main reason for being important in politics in the first place was her marriage to Bill, who is one of the leading politicians of the generation. If Hillary were a man and Bill were a woman...... would Bill still have gotten elected in 1992? Who knows. If the implicit idea of making Hillary a man is to have us assume that she got to be Democratic nominee through means other than by being a former president's wife.....yes, of course that would make her a stronger candidate! But that really should have nothing to do with Hillary being a woman.

I think people miss the problem with the idea that "Women Can't win."

The problem isn't that it's false that women face obstacles that men don't. The problem is that men are treated differently than women in politics. And just going "Welp, that's just how things are!" doesn't solve anything. Until we combat these ideas inherent in our society, it's going to continue just to be a world where we continue focusing on all the wrong things. We elect candidates who don't know the first thing about anything except MAYBE economics. And even with Trump it's debatable. I seriously doubt he could define the word 'Tariff' if his life depended on it, and he had a "phone a friend". (Let's be honest, he probably uses it to call Giuliani to brag about how smart he is) Instead we focus on the dumbest things. And that's how we get someone in head of the EPA that makes Captain Planet villains look like members of Green Peace and someone in charge of the Department of Education that would rather butcher schools, not to mention members of congress who make healthcare decisions for women that couldn't tell you what a hymen is or identify the clitoris or answer basic health questions about pregnancy. That's what we've got in our politicians. People who really don't have a clue what they're really doing. But hey! At least Uncle Joe's a guy we can go grab a beer with. I'm sure you two will enjoy that beer any day now.
