18 y/o Alex Smith and his 17 y/o Friend who is "not being named" are charged with ANIMAL CRUELTY after their horrific video was posted showing them STOMPING and LAUGHING at a DEER they killed that caused social media outrage!!

It showed them torturing a deer in a wooded area and are charged with felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty.

Social media users screenshotted the video and posted it online to bring them to justice as reaction was furious with more than 700,000 people signing a petition for police to charge the teens and impose the maximum sentence

Both were charged with 2 counts of felony aggravated animal cruelty and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit animal cruelty, corruption of a minor and tampering with evidence.

Alex faces a maximum of 37 YEARS in the big house while the other will face juvenile courtfor his penalty

In the graphic video they stomp on the wounded deer and repeatedly laugh as they intentionally killed the animal. They also TORE its ANTLERS off while it was still ALIVE before it gave its last breath

Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners President Tim Layton said "It's easy to understand why people were outraged by the incident. But the worst case scenario would have been ru shing the investigation and heading into court with a case that wasn't as strong as it could have been"

Jim Burkett, the DA said "People have assumed that officers have been dragging their feet when, actually the opposite is true. They have put a lot of hard work in this case to present one for the prosecution. I commend the Game Commission for their efforts"

Smith was released on 50,000 unsecured bail.

The sentence is pretty ridiculous, should be a few years maximum, if that.

Most people in the backwoods actually treat nature with respect and aren't like these stupid kids.

A police officer in my city killed a deer by repeatedly running over and dragging it with his police truck. He had no punishment at all.
