That's not due to his normal ice powers, though. It's because he has potential he almost never taps, and can theoretically affect all matter and energy on the subatomic level.

When he's just freezing things or making ice-slides, he's not an Omega-level mutant. When he's siphoning energy out of the universe on a global scale, freezing the entire Earth, expanding his awareness through the entirety of snow and ice across the whole planet, and able to shift his consciousness halfway around globe, then he's tapping into the Omega level powers.

Most mutants with ice powers aren't even remotely Omega level.

It's sort of similar to the Flash - just being fast isn't impressive (Quicksilver is fast, and no one cares). But when you're SO fast that you can literally vibrate your molecules through solid matter (or through time itself), fly, channel lightning through your hands, make things explode, turn invisible, alter your eyes to see in non-visible light portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, or freeze other people in time by siphoning their speed away from them, then you've basically turned speed into borderline godhood (or not so borderline).

The problem with fire powers is that it's basically nothing more than having a flamethrower minus the equipment. X-ray vision would have uses, especially in security, medicine, crime, and intelligence, but it's kind of a passive power at best. Flight's kind of meh on the whole but would unquestionably be fun. Supergasm is generally fun but still kinda limited. Strength is a good all-rounder. Ice is REALLY useful if you know how to use it right but just pales in comparison to the rest. Moving things with your mind, teleporting, flat-out stopping time, or god-hood? All OP as heck if you do it right.

Yeah, but it's still not radically breaking every thermodynamic law of the universe on multiple levels, which is what Iceman's "freezing" power essentially is.

They've been studies done, and generally speaking, when given a choice 1-10, 7 will almost always be the most popular number picked.

That's why, when you make one of these topics, you should always put the worst option as #7, to screw with people. And why, when you ARE picking a number in one of these topics, you should never, ever pick 7.

Point I was making is that ice powers can be pretty fucking rad, though. That other poster seemed to be brushing them off like they're lame, and I've always thought Iceman was an absolute badass. But I see what you're getting at.

I got 5 and I'm pretty ok with that. The omnipotent power is probably the best (though there could be downsides to being able to do ANYTHING...you might get really bored).

TK basically lets you have flight as well (just sit on something your moving with your mind), and super strength to a degree (depending on how heavy/large an object you can move). It's not as good as teleportation, but it can be used to do some of the same things.

It is also one of the powers which easily gets you unlimited money, which of course is a power all on it's own. The only advantage supergasm has over unlimited money is you may be able to give YOURSELF super good orgasms as well (and really good ones), but..you might go down the rabbit hole so to speak (sex in the city reference) and never leave your house/apartment etc again lol (there was an episode where one of the girls got a rabbit sex toy and basically didn't for a month or something).

Time manipulation also gets you unlimited money, and would be really cool, but if you can't reverse time, or travel forward and backward etc, it's limited.

ICe/Fire is my least favorite, neither are really that great in todays society. You could use them to generate some money, but would have to use your imagination big time to become super rich. Super strength is also almost worthless sadly, though I guess you could enter into boxing/sport competitions and get rich that way at least.

X-ray vision would basically just let you get rich (Eventually) through gambling etc, but would be mostly useless as well.
