several hours could pass and it would still be at 0% downloaded.....jumping between 30 hours to 80 hours sometimes even 90 hours to finish

this is the first game I've downloaded where it has no idea when it'll be ready and has no percentage completed after hours...(maybe 1% at best)

i asked for one and told the second customer service rep i talked to...that the first one tried to help me get the game to download properly but nothing worked

so they sent A Message to their admin and Said I'd hear back in 2-3 days with a response via email

there's a chance they'd deny it but seeing as i couldn't get the game to work at all and i have never asked for a refund before

it seems unlikely

I Did everything they asked me to do and it didn't work....that's not giving up

nobody i talked to could figure out what the problem was and any possible fix they gave me didn't work

why would i hold onto a game I'll never be able to play?

So, to be clear, OP tried downloading a game, never bothered to check if his SD card is iffy or reset his internet, and instead got a refund?

Dude, I bought the game physical and had to download X2 and such as "DLC"(an already dumb thing on its own), and it downloaded just fine. If it's possible, either get better internet or get a micro SD card that isn't from some shady seller on eBay claiming to be 5TB for 10 bucks.

I don't like being rude like this, but you sound more like you tried one thing and then immediately gave up and just wanted your money back because you realized you had a few bills left to pay.

The Internet I Already have is the best anyone can get anyone can get around so unless you wanna move you gotta deal with the flaws it brings

i didn't buy some bootleg sd card i bought it from Walmart....

they told me to power cycle the router i did that...didn't work

they told me to restart the switch and try downloading FX/X-2 again...didn't work

they told me to Change The Primary/Secondary DNS and that didn't work

when none of that advice works

I Have two options...ask for a refund or just accept the fact I Burned $24.99 on a game I am unable to play

I bought it on disc! I very seldom buy digital games. I think I may own 3 at the most.

Really?

I've been playing it on the Switch and haven't encountered any framerate stuff.

And the load times are about 2-2.5 seconds long.

Though I have been playing primarily on handheld mode.

yeah i did I Tried downloading an indie game off the indie shop and it downloaded within an hour

tried FFX/X-2 again and it just refused to download

Oh maybe they patched it. But I heard on launch it was the worst version of the game.

Actually, it is. Trying everything doesn't mean you're not giving up. It just means you tried before giving up... Maybe go somewhere with better internet. One time, my internet was out. But I went to a McDonalds parking lot to suck the life out of their WiFi to download a game. Took a little extra time, but still. I also used my Laundromat's WiFi to download a game. That's just because I was there, though...

Try those. Then you can give up if they don't work for you...

I'm not that surprised. While I don't see refunds much, I do know Nintendo is pretty good and tried to help... At least, from my experience with them...

is this a wifi or wired connection? absolutely use a wired connection if you can. even then make sure it's a good cable with good ends that are seated properly. (if you must use wifi, check the line of sight to the router, and clear the path as much as you can. make sure there's no sources of interference near either device or in between. make sure that the edges of any antennae are aligned towards the target device.)

beyond a bad connection to your router, you might need to forward a port. reading nintendo's instructions on how to do this is not very reassuring though...

other things can be IP conflicts on your network, network cycles, etc. but it's not easy to diagnose this kind of thing without actually being there.

(another possibility could be space requirements or something, but I don't know how the switch works. maybe there's not enough space for this game, but there was space for the other game? I would hope this wouldn't be what happens in that situation, but who knows.)

I don't think it's this one. I know when I've downloaded stuff on switch, it would make me clear out stuff when trying to download if there wasn't room. If I didn't clear out stuff, it wouldn't start o finish the download. And have an "X" over the download bar... This sounds ore like it showed the download bar normally and wouldn't download...
