According to Splash Report Netflixs Resident Evil series will focus on the daughters of Albert Wesker. Wesker has long been one of the central recurring antagonists throughout the series. Their report says the show, set in 2022, follows half-sisters Jade and Billie Wesker. Their family relocates to a town called Raccoon 2 which is home to the headquarters of the Umbrella Corporation. There in the suspiciously too-perfect town, the sisters start to uncover a conspiracy involving their fathers work.

The rumors claim is that the Resident Evil show will also feature flash-forwards to the year 2036 when the world has gone post-apocalyptic and zombies reign supreme. There well follow an older version of Jade as she tries to fight off zombies and save the three-million humans still left alive.

I knew there was a Netflix thing in production, but I was expecting it to be more like that Arklay proof-of-concept from a while back.

3. Resident Evil Code: Veronica X

Code Veronica is easily the hardest game in the series, and that's a good thing! I think the T-078 fight on the plane is the single biggest run ender for me across all of the games. But it isn't the only spot in CV to cause problems, especially in the realm of inventory management. Literally everything about this game is harder than the others, and the only compensation you get is the knife in this game is absolutely god tier for some reason. The only knife that comes close is like 200+ FPS RE2Make knife. So basically you have this really hard fixed camera game that mockingly incentivizes you to play it CQC style with enemies like the Bandersnatch. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuucckkkkkkkkkk. But that's what makes it so fun.

Alexia is a top three main villain in the series, Alfred is a top three mook villain in the series, and overall the plot in this one is one of the better overall (if you can ignore some of the general nonsense like Claire's e-mail and Steve's existence). The opening raid of the Umbrella complex sets the entire tone of things and cements Claire as one the best characters in the series. The Rule of Claire (where if she's in the game, it's going to be great) exists for a reason.

As I've said before I'm a huge fan of the expanded Umbrella Corporation lore and even in a post-Raccoon world the Ashfords add greatly to it. And of course, this is the game where Wesker came back from the dead and just went ham on everyone. Roundhouse kicks Claire in the face, Superman punches Alexia in the face, manhandles Chris at the end... He looked unstoppable here, and I still want to know where he got an entire paramilitary force (and where they subsequently disappeared to). HCF continues to be one of the most enigmatic parts of the lore, along with "The Organization."

I'm torn on whether I'd like to see this one remade though, because I think it will be harder to capture this spirit like it was for the others. Not to mention some things in the game (ie "you crossdressing freak") will not fly today so better to just not mess with things. That being said, glorious HD Alexia would be amazing and might be worth it all on its own.
