What do you think is the best starter?

Depends on the stage.

Grookey starts out as the best but declines as the line goes on. Sobble is the opposite, starts out bad but gets better with each stage. Scorbunny remains garbage throughout the entire line.

I hate all 3.

If I had a switch I'd be dropping the starter as soon as I could.

Scorbunny. While there's a lot better type selection it's much easier to get something like a gyarados or some other great grass type thanks to the wild zones than it is a fire type.

Even then bro, you can get Growlithe and Vulpix relatively early which are better all-rounders than the Scorbunny line

Sobble is really cute and Inteleon is really cool but the middle evolution is freaking terrible and I don't feel like it fits the evolutionary line as well as it could have.

Grookey and it's evolutions are decent but are just kinda mediocre.

Scorbunny feels like they didn't know what to do with the evolutionary line. First it looks like it's going to be some of kind of fire/fighting, then it evolves into something that resembles a ninja. That's fine and all but then turns into a soccer player which makes sense being a region based on the UK but then why were you a ninja beforehand? It makes no sense to me.

The rationale behind all three makes sense - secret agent, musician, soccer player. All three have featured prominently in British culture, literature, and history. Cinderaces middle evolution isnt a ninja - its a soccer player wearing a balaclava type face covering that footballers wear when its freezing outside. And the football kit is more established than Scorbunnys but less so than Cinderaces indicating its more than just a youth player but less than a full on pro.

in terms of the games Cinderace makes most sense cos its speed and attack let you sweep every other Pokemon in the game. Dont remember taking a loss to any Pokemon with it (not hard in story mode but still)

dont know what the first question is but they all evolve at the same time for a while now, not that evolving at level 36 as opposed to 32 was ever a real difficulty spike or anything

by type moves i believe he means learning mostly only moves of their type.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I thought in the first few gens that a grass-type would learn a grass move at an earlier level than a fire-type would learn a fire move.

bulbasaur actually learns his type move latest in gen 1, at level 13 unless you count leech seed (which you shouldnt as its a status move)
