I see a ton of southerners here in Florida whose tires are barely there. All it takes is a single freeze one morning, and those cars are gonna go and crash into someone on the sidewalk.

Actually its a debatable point and youd have to see how many accidents were caused by people who are new to Canada. We import 350,000 per year and give them licenses straight-across even though they may be from a country that doesnt ever get snow. Youll never see those statistics because that would be bad :(.

His example was from an area with one of the highest immigration rates in the country.

At least when I post drunk I make a metric fuck-ton more sense than some people.

This is wrong. It would have made more sense if you were talking about a place that doesnt regularly get snow. But Virginia gets snows pretty often. So, they usually know how to handle it. Though, I dont even really see much snow, if any, in the video...

People in VA drive like fucking maniacs. None of them value their lives. They know the road conditions, they just don't care. They will merge at the last possible second. ALWAYS be in the wrong lane. Cut people off. Speed. It's a recipe for disaster.

It's when snow occurs early in the season, and when it looks fine, that accidents are probably most common. People aren't in that winter mindset yet, and the road looks clear.

From the youtube comments, this was on a bridge, so probably a case where the bridge iced up while the road on either side of it was fine. Bridges freeze over at higher temps than normal sections of road, so sometimes people don't expect it.

There have been some crazy big accidents in California. The San Joaquin Valley is prone is extreme fog conditions known as a tule fog that can lower visibility to less than 10 feet. All it takes is one vehicle to slow down suddenly and then the whole freeway turns into a massive pileup with hundreds of cars involved.
