Seems like a long time I think. I mean its just a hard piece of wood or plastic or whatever and a clip with maybe a spring

I wonder if theres workplaces where people are using clipboards that are like fifty years old but nobody knows it because its just a clipboard and nobody cares

Assuming no one breaks it, it'll last as long as any other piece of wood can. Even if the clip breaks, it can still fulfil its purpose.

Remember those left-handed scissors in kindergarten? They kinda had the dark green rubber on the handles, while all the right-handed scissors were just pure silver?

One Drs office I go to that is packed all the time change theirs out about every 3 years due to the wear and tear, plus people dropping them or just writing on them

I use a lot of clipboards in my work, they rarely last more than a week or two.
