so last night I was at a small party (<10 people), and this gal Ive known since freshman year kept grabbing my arm and sitting on me, and at the end of the night asked if I wanted to have sex with her.

This has never happened to me before. It was awkward and unexpected and I didnt know what to do.

I turned her down because I have a girlfriend.

What makes it weirder is is that she knows my girlfriend. Theyre kind of friends (I dont think they hang out, but theyre in a few clubs together).

Anyway now Im drinking some more.

That could be. Women are bad like that. While I have been married (either time), I've had so many more women proposition me compared to when I was single. They could see my ring and many knew my wife, but they didn't care. It was like its own aphrodisiac. "Want what you can't have" type of thing

Single? No one gives you a second glance

We were all drunk by the end of the night but she was definitely flirting before that (at least according to my gf, who wasnt there, but I told her about it).

I think it's the thrill of helping him cheat that makes them consider/do it. "If he's married, there must be a reason why and I'm going to find out!"

i've heard this line of thinking before, the test/trap scheme. it doesn't make sense. one of two things is happening in this scenario

1) his gf doesn't trust him, and with her having these trust issues she has her sorta friend hit on him at a party away from her and would expect and accept honesty when said friend reports back to her

2)this other girl, "looking out for her friend" and without the friends knowledge, disingenuously solicits another guy hoping to get rejected so she could then go back to her friend and tell his gf that she tried to hook up with her boyfriend and he said no. like that would fly with another girl.

Because this is how the universe operates.

When you're single, you have the smell of desperation on you. Women notice this, and avoid you.

When you're in a relationship, you have a degree of confidence and casual attitude that is appealing to women, so they're more attracted to you. And you aren't constantly chasing after them or acting stupid around them out of horny nervousness, which is even more attractive.

100% trouble maker. I know a couple women who only flirt with taken men, me included at times. And if those same people are single, they have nothing to do with them.

How does your GF know what she was actually doing? Unless of course she reported back to your GF confirming you passed the test.

No. I wasnt picking up on anything throughout the night, and when she bluntly asked, I was feeling too awkward and drunk to be horny.

Yeah the test thing sounds dumb. Like something that only happens in tv shows.

Unrelated to this topic, but at a party I was at a few years ago, a group of people showed up at the door with a lot of drinks and asked if they could join our party. They were at a party a few apartments down, but were shut down for noise complaints. So we took their booze and let them in, and this one guy goes into my friends room, grabs his guitar, and starts playing Wonderwall. He tried to make it a singalong, but almost no one joined him and he looked embarrassed.

I fucking HATE "guitar guys".

You don't want to be rude and tell him not to play.

But if you let him, he'll try to steal the whole fucking night and act like he's the god of the party.

Even if he's good, it basically ruins the night. People can't sit around and just talk to each other.

I went hiking/camping with a group of 6 friends one weekend. The one guy was a friend of a friend. Kind of a hippie bro. The most stereotypical "feel the energy in the trees" kinda guy. Filthy hair. Stick thin. Gaunt. Unemployed. More nice than he needed to be. Reeked of weed and BO.

We finally settle down, make a fire, start chatting.....and this motherfucker pulls out a guitar out of thin air.

I swear to fucking Odin....this motherfucker had a backpack on his back....and a walking stick. THERE WAS NO GUITAR THE ENTIRE 6 HOUR HIKE!!!! NOBODY WAS CARRYING ONE!!!!

This motherfucker just 'willed' the god damn thing into existence. Like some kind of musical warlock.

Started playing. Basically kept us all from talking all night.

I wanted to slit his throat in his sleep.
