Tbh that would be a huge $$$ idea.
Like have a 3rd version alongside any new game called the adult version.

Difference is, no hand holding and ramped up difficulty.
Maturer themes a well.

Like in reg version, when you defeat a trainer they are like "oh no you beat me you are good!"

In adult version
"Nooo. My pokemon! Fuck you!"

And the champions will have like perfect IV pokemon with meta strategies.

I used to really want one where you could play as someone a little older who worked for Rocket.

And adult Pokmon world would just be people holding down regular careers; training is predominantly for kids (you need child soldiers in a world where everything is a magical monster). Think Power Plant from Gen 1.
