Its insane. But theyre cracking down on Ubers thank god. Theyre horrible out here. I only really deal with them when Im working overtime like concerts and sports events.

taxi companies are dicks but theyre organized. An Uber driver is just some guy that passed the requirements. They drive horrible, theyll stop intersections because they made a wrong turn. Ive seen them stop at the number 3 with their flashers to go all the way into the number 1 left turn lane, fucking the entire traffic behind me.

On egress of all concerts, theyll have everything shut down for 20-30 minutes. The taxis understand this. The Uber drivers come up screaming and yelling I have a ride! Cursing and doing dumb shit. Theres specific ride share drop offs and pick ups. I see them constantly picking up in the middle of traffic and the roadways.

Dont support that bullshit. I dont like writing traffic tickets EVER. But Ill gladly write those guys one any day

Taxi drivers created their own poor reputation. Almost every time I've ever got one they've been late or just not turned up. They are also more expensive than Ubers.

Why would I use a worse service when it costs MORE?!

Sadly they didn't even do this. There aren't any requirements to be an Uber driver. Some of them don't even have a license.

If someone doesn't have a license then they didn't sign up to drive for Uber. They are driving someone elses car and shouldn't be. You have to send them all your documents periodically. They also do background checks periodically.

That's coz they're saving money not coz they like Uber.

Uber's a scummy company but it's literally half price to take an Uber compared to a taxi... in the end I don't hate Uber enough to pay double for a traditional cab
