Setting aside being fat due to genetics, people who turn to excessive eating often do so for reasons similar to those who turn to drug use (physical or emotion abuse, rough times).

I have a degree of sympathy to both for this very reason. A lot of overweight people have issues with comfort eating due to mental health issues that they do not have adequate support for.

There's basically no answer for either though. Either you're strong enough to pick yourself up and get out of the rut, or you basically just slowly destroy yourself. There's basically no hope for like 90%+ of the latter.

Im sympathetic to fat people that got fat because their parents didnt know any better in regards to decent nutrition and simply feed them to eat a bunch of junk as a kid. Im not sympathetic to grown adults that later on got fat by the result of their own bad food choices.

There are reasons which contribute to the bad food choices though.

It's called general observation that anyone can easily make.

The vast majority of fat people will die fat.

The vast majority of drug addicts will die drug addicts.

What's the solution? Even people that come from a good home can fall victim to either or even both of those things.

I'm sympathetic to fat people. Capitalism makes it all too hard to say no to bad food. Pre emptive go away proudclad.

But meth is literally one of the most addictive things out there and fat people don't tend to nosedive so quickly that they end up dying choking on their own spit in some shit stained hotel bathroom like drug users end up doing.

Not at all, it does, but the withdrawl isn't deadly. Barely noticeable, really. It's not even on-par with something like nicotine or caffeine addiction. It's nothing but laziness.

If you're only talking about sugar I feel you. I've had many different mid level drug withdrawals tho, that didn't kill me. They sure as hell made me wish I was dead tho.

I fought with prescription opioid addiction, then Suboxone addiction after that because my doctor was a fucking idiot and prescribed 30 day supplies with unlimited refills instead of the 4-6 day treatment it's supposed to be. It's hell.
Also a smoker lol.

Fat people are just lazy and don't know how to eat properly. My opinion, no one has to like or accept it.

Word. I take daily pain pills cause my severe scoliosis and undiagnosed stomach problems. I make sure I don't ever run out now, but when I did....it was hell.

the two ways people respond to trauma are essentially "I got out of this because I am superior to others" or "wow I sure got lucky, there but for the grace of god, etc"
