POLL: Who do you think will win? The contest will be a series of games that continues until one of the contestants has won three times. The winner will receive $1,000,000.

They are the Holy Trinity of Trivia, but only one will earn the right to be called "the Greatest of All Time" in the history of Jeopardy. Who do you think it will be?

James strategy doesn't work if the other contestants are just as smart and confident.

I think Brad wins again, for the reasons outlined in the poll. Wouldn't be shocked if he swept it.

I'll honestly be surprised if any of them sweeps the series. I'm expecting at least four games. The fan in me wants it to go to the maximum of seven, but who knows...

This is the thing. Nothing is stopping Rutter or Jennings from employing the exact same strategy. Also, since it is about winning the SERIES as a whole and not accumulating wealth, it doesnt make sense for Holhauzer to play like he normally did.

Well, Holzhauer did adjust his play during the recent Tournament of Champions. There were several Daily Doubles where he wagered a measly couple grand. I wonder if he'll go into it with that mindset straight away, or perhaps try his old "go for broke" first, since it's a first-to-three series so even if it doesn't work out the first time, he can switch up his approach afterward. It'll be interesting to see how he, Jennings and Rutter all play, to be sure.

I think James is in over his head here. Sure, he set all those single day records, but he did it against ordinary people. Ken and Brad are not ordinary people.

Even during his ToC, James struck me as a big fish in a small pond. That fish is about to get dropped into the ocean, with two great white sharks awaiting his arrival.

Maybe I'm wrong, and he'll hold his own. If so, I'll come back and acknowledge it. I just get the feeling this won't go well for him.

I think he will hold his own. In the end this will go to whoever is fastest on the buzzer. All 3 of them are exceptionally intelligent and have a very high rate of answering correctly.

Game Theory had a really good video about how James lost.

A lot of people thought he threw the last game (for whatever reason) because his wager on Final was so low, but the wager he did actually made sense because he assumed (correctly) that the woman in first place would wager enough so that if she got it right (she did), she would still be ahead of James even if he doubled everything; so he had to hope she got it wrong, and wager just enough to lock out the third-place contestant.

That video was awful conspiracy nonsense, and you should feel bad for promoting it.

Oh, I don't believe anything was manufactured to make him lose.

More about how it was interesting that he lost on one of the easiest games of Jeopardy ever played. LOL

James. He knows the trivia and the betting. The other 2 just know the trivia.

That actually makes sense, though. In an easier game, it's more likely that James's opponents will know the majority of the answers, thereby having the opportunity to buzz in and keep up with him. In a more difficult game, with more abstract or obscure responses, that favors James because he knows so much random shit.
