The waiting music is the music from Wind Waker when you're sailing across the ocean.

UPDATE: I was transferred to the repair facility, and their waiting music is just generic whistling.

i called because I sent in a switch and controllers to be repaired. They sent back the switch but not the controllers. The repair people say I didnt send the controllers, which isnt true. I now have to just buy new ones, which is 70 bucks down the drain.

The Switch and left controller were dropped into water. They fixed the Switch (100 dollar non-warranty-covered lol), but no controllers.

She told me to search my house for the controllers. The ultimate joke is that I absolutely know I included the controllers because I realized I could buy a cheaper package at UPS if I removed the controllers and put them on top of the Switch because it made the Switch shorter, but the depth of the packages was enough for the Switch and controllers.

I printed out a sheet listing the things I was sending, which was required according to the repair website, but I didn't save the sheet, don't remember if I listed the controllers separately from the Switch, and they didn't ask me for it in any case.

Did you ask to speak to the supervisor? I've learned through time that it's in our best interest to document everything, and it probably would have been a good idea to take a picture of what you're sending in and tell them you have visual and written proof, should they need to see it

I didn't think to talk to the supervisor, but I don't think it would matter. I have no documentation of anything besides the repair numbers and stuff, but not about the controllers specifically.

Call them back and repeat your issue. Ask to talk to the supervisor. Sometimes these things require some pushback on your part to get resolved.

Do you have the UPS receipt? It should have the weight and you can show it weighed X when you sent it which would have included controllers.

I'll try that later, but I'm not hopeful. Thanks for the support, though.

How did you drop it in water?
Stupidly wanted to play while taking a bath. I deserve all the mocking for that.

I do, but I'd be shocked if they took that as evidence.

I also recommend calling back. Not all reps are competent. While bringing them into the bath is not the wisest thing to do, you shouldn't have to shell out money for a new pair of controllers when they said they would fix and their neglect causes you to not get repaired controllers back

It's the kind of thing I use if I run into paypal/ebay issues selling things online.

I don't have an email with a printout listing what I sent , I just have this.

Somehow still better than Microsoft's customer service. I couldn't even get in touch with anybody last time I called and had to buy an entire new Xbox on Black Friday.

...which was basically same price as a repair would have cost anyway.
