Worth it if you enjoy competitive battling, but very bland otherwise. Characters and story are shallow, no post game, and the raid connectivity issues can get annoying.
They made raising competitive Pokemon easier than they ever have in past games. People are complaining about no national dex, but the available Pokemon make the game feel more balanced so far in my opinion. No complaints in this area, unless you like ragging on them for Kanto region pandering. --- Working in a team is great! It always helps to have someone else to blame. ... Copied to Clipboard!

No, but there are plenty of other games worth getting that will justify a switch.
