Board 8 > My summer of 2002 was friggin' sweet.

Between 6th and 7th grade

-Hung out with one of my two best friends at the time almost every day
-My brother and I spent most nights playing GBA together; however we didn't have any actual GBA games right away so for the first month or so it was mostly Pokemon Gold/Silver
-Before the awful drama and shit of 7th grade
-Did a week-long summer camp that was really fun
-Went to the pool most days
-There was a girl I liked in 6th grade and we parted on a positive/hopeful note so I had that to look forward to
-Character Battle I
-Pepsi Blue
-The internet was really starting to blossom as far as media goes and I watched the banned Dratini episode of Pokemon for the first time

I'm sure it wasn't the best/most exciting summer I ever had but it's the one that I just vividly remember the most and probably the one I'd choose to relive if I could.

I had a summer like this that I still recall fondly as well, I cant remember exactly how old I was but I believe it was between grade 7 and 8 which would have been the summer of 2007.

My brother and I, and sometimes my cousin who would make the trip down with her mom, would spend all day every day at a friends house who lived on our street and we'd do the stupidest shit:

- played hours of Yugioh together every day on his porch, always finding ways to get cash to then go buy more cards and packs
- create weird concoctions and essentially do science experiments with whatever was in his house because his mom was at work and it was just us there. There was multiple instances of us messing something up so bad that we were just like "yeah, good luck", and ran before his mom got home - we were assholes
- go on bike rides every single evening, trying to get a little farther or go somewhere new every single day
- This was also the year where we found a game store that would let us trade games in without our parents, so I essentially destroyed my PS2 collection but I played so many new games that summer
- My friend and I both got Megaman Star Force on the DS and we played that together nearly every day

I still reminisce about that summer, and a lot of my nostalgia comes from things I experienced during that time.

Thanks. Honestly I think something reminded me of Pepsi Blue and my mind went to all these things from that summer. My mind works in weird ways, especially late at night.
