The first Hitman season was pretty damn fun, so I'm looking forward to more good times. Was gonna skip the prologue/tutorial place from the demo (?), but I might go through again, just to reacclimate to the controls. Some of these new challenges sound pretty fun, too.

Play with opp- oh you played the first.
The second one has an actual overall better story I think.
Also it introduces you well to being a suit only style mission since You have to actually take a guard out after the guard/target arrives

Soda can isn't OP
What's OP is having a wrench or crowbar since they don't break
Also starting with any item in a briefcase is OP. Briefcase is OP

Yeah, there's all kinds of gag weapons/items to have fun with. Colorado was my fave mission in the first season and lots of fun was had with the throwable apricots. It was some kinda fruit, at least.

As for the briefcase, maybe I have to play a bit before I can unlock sniper action. When I first played this level months ago, I couldn't do any sniper challenges, and still can't, so...that sucks. Guess I'll start the game proper.

There are different snipers but I don't think any of them have suppressors by default.
https://hitman.fandom.com/wiki/The_Cheveyo_Calibration I think is the easiest way to get one

Oh yeah, you can do those tiered challenges to get items. Forgot about that.

Oh, so I have to beat Miami to unlock the briefcase. A little odd to not have basic things like this in a sequel, but I guess they didn't want things to be too easy at the beginning. I can just imagine Diana scolding 47 for losing his luggage at an airport or something.

Originally, I wasn't that fond of this Miami level, since there's 90000 areas and they're all subdivided. Walking around the venues are as annoying as they'd be in real life. It's kinda grown on me now, though. A nice bonus is including an actual NPC called Florida Man. It seems his special ingredient is coke or meth...I'll have to do some investigating.

Also, the Illuminati base is an upside-down pyramid suspended by three wires. I like you, Hitman, but this is just crazy stupid. It's not even using cloaking technology or anything...it's just hanging there. Somewhere in my mind, I'm trying to rationalize this as an optical illusion or something.

So far, Hitman 2's delivered on the same goodness as season one, but it hasn't really surpassed it in anything. In fact, a lot of cutscenes seem (so far) seem to be screenshots with a slight lenticular effect, which is a giant step down.

Wait, wait...is this drug kingpin related to the ones you kill in Blood Money? There's no way that cello reference is random.

Feeding everyone to the hippo was very satisfying, but I took the long way around. Could've lured that chick to the construction site for easier disposal, rather than murdering half the village and dragging her from her compound. Oh well.

Finished Mumbai. It was kinda fun, but I'm looking forward to going stateside and doing Whittleton Creek. Seems like it'll have a lot in common with that Blood Money WITSEC level, right down to treehouse snipin'.

The Florida level has some weird ass easter eggs in it too.

The reason for this is that in between the two games IO split from Square Enix and went independent. A lot of the cutscene and mocap resources were on Square's side.

Welp, beat Whittleton Creek. Fun little neighborhood, even if it was small compared to previous maps. Best part was finding the muffin lady's murder basement. The sweets industry is cutthroat, I tells ya what.

I'll have to go back and play to find some.

Yeah, that makes sense. Hopefully they'll pick up the slack for the third season, though, because telling the Hitman storyline with the same aplomb as a PowerPoint presentation is only acceptable this once. I have faith in 'em, though.

Only an hour into the Isle of Sgail mission, and this is already the best one so far. Gotta love secret society shenanigans. All that's missing is the Eyes Wide Shut party.

Damn, Sgail was the last mission? That sucks. I'm not buying a season pass for two levels, though, discounted or no.

Overall, pretty decent adventure, even when it felt like a holding pattern I'd always heard it didn't sell as well as the first season, and now I understand why. Still, it's not like any of the levels were straight-up garbage; they just didn't have a big wow factor. Other than Sgail, of course, which was brilliant. The kills where you can burn the twin alive in the phoenix effigy, shove one in an iron maiden, stab one dead center during a wake, etc. were great. I don't think I've had that much fun assassinating since that Blood Money mission where you can drop someone in a shark tank.

Hopefully S3 has a better villain cast, or at least play up their evil deeds, though. Most of the stuff is just murder, a few war crimes, espionage, gang activity and so on -- a bit bland after awhile. They should bring back a few edgy one-off kills, like that pedophile opera singer.
