Of course, doing both is ok

They already have an HD CV, and RE3 is the second-best RE game next to the actual RE2. Like I doubt theyll reimagine RE1 as a TPS at this point... but who really knows with the guys running the show at Capcom these days. So with that, I would assume we might only ever see a port of the Sega DC CV.

Gameplay wise, there are a lot of similarities between 4 and the remake. It's less on the actiony side of 4, but the movement and control is a more fluid version of what you had in 4. For 20 bucks I'd say its definitely worth it.

You havent heard of this? It was basically the exact same game with the exact same rendering that we all love and it received basically an 8.5 average. RE2 easily could have done the same thing and so could RE3.

You should play the originals on PSX first for the real RE experience. They took a lot of stuff out that was in the DS version of RE2 and added a lot of unnecessary things to the new one. Its a completely different game.

I don't get it. The Gamecube remake was VERY different from the original.

Not nearly as different as what they called RE2 is from the actual RE2. It was basically the same game with some added content and it sold incredibly well. RE2 would have done the same. Hopefully one day a third-party developer recreates it so we can get all the better content in an updated format. The DS bonus content was great and they just flat-out didnt give that to us. Ive read from the dev and the guys a dick. The whole OTS-style was terrible to start but it got worse and worse as the games went on. RE6 was the worst in the main series to-date and yet they continue to give us that style of gameplay. A style nobody asked for that they assumed we Westerners wanted because it was more action-oriented.

Almost everyone prefers the over-the-shoulder camera to the old fixed camera. What people didn't like about 5 and 6 was the lack of horror elements.

Because Capcom wanted an action-style game and it just doesnt work for this series. Although Leons story in 6 was decent at the start. People would clearly still buy the games if the environment was rendered in 2D.

4 was an action game as well. What worked well in 4 was that they cranked up the camp factor to 11, and that worked wonderfully well.
