She's George Lucas's buddy. She's old blood. She seems as bad as Lucas was. Stubborn just like him.

If they wanted to keep old blood, Micheline Chau, the previous president of Lucasfilm would have been a much better choice. Unfortunately, she retired.

As it stands, they're literally getting the president of Marvel Studios (Feige) to come in and help with a movie of his own. Bob Iger and Alan Horn might be loosing faith in her.

That is an inaccurate representation of what that was.

There has always been themes of "destiny" and the past, present, and future being tied together with the force. He elaborated on that, plus it was stuff George already wanted, it relates to George's big ideal of "The Whills"

Say what you will about Filoni but he takes this shit crazy seriously. He's the kind of guy who will know the registration number of a Gonk droid, why it's there, and who owns it.

Compare that to JJ Abrams who probably couldn't even name the solar system he blew up.

Destiny and time is one thing, creating a metaphysical realm you can access with the force and use it to time travel is balls to the walls terrible, and I don't care if Lucas himself dictated the episode line by line.
