New Starters around the league
CHI: Emmanuel Griffin *R* (they drafted him so not shocked
TEN: Kirk Cousins (3 years of the franchise and 3 different starting QBs)

This is the long review of last season and prediction section, after this is done I'll end B8 player of the year voting. This part will be a few days maybe

@@@Chicago Bears
2019 Record: 6-10
2020 Record: 5-11
Playoff Record: 0-0
Coach History
2019 - Matt Nagy
2020 - Paul Ranson
2021 - Matt Nagy
QBs Started:
2019- Mitch Trubisky
2020- Mitch Trubisky
2021- Emmanuel Griffin

Last Years Prediction: 7-9
Wow I was way off, this team was thoroughly dead last year from the jump. Now I slam Trubisky but hes actually ok I guess? He ranked 15th and 12th in his two years with the Bears among all QBs. They dumped him and fired the coach to rehire Matt Nagy. Gonna be honest I've played Madden since 2004 pretty religiously and have never seen a coach get rehired after being fired on the same team.

The Bears drafted Emmanuel Griffin, a draft pick I poo poo'd. Honestly he has some shot to be ok? Except hes the 31st rated QB. Oof!

Last year the run game was pretty dead for this team with Tarik Cohen getting injured they turned to David Montgomery. The Bears return with the same two HBs again this year.

The WRs are led by Allen Robinson and hes really good, but then the dropoff is like going to a squad of 4th string WRs. Luckily Trey Burton (#13) got superstar status in the offseason so the rookie QB has at least two options out there.

Oline
LT #7, LG #7, C #12, RG #50, RT #25
The obvious what the hell Chicago point is the RG. This is the rookie I mentioned in the draft with the superstar factor pential but yeah hes really really RAW. Run left halfbacks or face doom?

Dline
I like this Dline! Akiem Hicks is a top 10 DE, and on the other side is an up and coming Bilal Nichols who is ranked #32. Then in the middle is eddie goldman ranked #9. You combine that with the linebackers and this is an intense D to face

LBs
Khalil Mack and Raquan Smith are lights out, and then Leonard Floyd (#14) is no slouch either. The frontlines of this team are really good

CBs
And then it gets scary bad. Kyle Fuller (#11) is the hope and dream here because after that we goto Prince Amukamara ranked #104.....like dear god! It only gets worse from there. The Bears only young CB is Michael Jackson SR (#138) who is set to be a Free Agent after this season

Safeties
But then hope comes back with Eddie Jackson (#2) and Xevabis Beavis (#11). This is the best Safety duo in the nfl!

But old habits die hard. Mason Crosby is the worst ranked Kicker in the league. There is a lot to like on the D front but the O has a lot left to be desired. I don't see this rookie QB doing stuff yet, maybe next season

Prediction: 5-11

@@@Green Bay Packers
2019 Record: 8-7-1 (Won Division)
2020 Record: 11-4-1 (Won Division, #1 Seed)
Playoff Record: 2-2
Coach History
2019 - Matt LaFleur
QBs Started:
2019- Aaron Rodgers
2020- Aaron Rodgers

Last Years Prediction: Prediction: 11-5, Division win
If Madden wasn't in love with ties I could have nailed this. The Packers are a team of destiny with the window closed on their hand. But even though the other teams are pushing down Aaron Rodgers at 37 has his hand in the window desperately trying to keep it open. His stats have crashed from #3 to #12.

The Packers got eliminated for the second time by the Cowboys and the question to look at here is, will they do it again.

The running game is kinda shot because Aaron Jones (#10) will miss almost half the season, so instead the Packers will rely on Dexter Williams (#94). His stats are pretty good actually but he has the awareness of a walnut.

The Packers WR kinda mirror real life. 1 star and a cast of supporting members. I really like that Valdes Scantling (#74) has put up 700 yards two years running since Davante Adams (#5) eats up most targets.

The blockbuster offseason move is trading for TE JC Gamer (#14) and moving an elderly Jimmy Graham (#46) down to a backup role. Having a dynamic TE historically in RL helped Packer QBs, hopefully it helps Rodgers here. JC Gamer averaged 9.7 yards a carry and well if it doesn't work hes on a 1 year deal

Oline from left to right: #1, #10, #22, #53, #10
Well if you want to pierce this line you know where to aim at.

Dline
Frank Clark (#3) wont be starting at DT due to an injury, so the first 4 games the Packers will have one of the crappiest Dlines in football. This is the ranking of the players they'll start #43, #54, #55. Oof!

LBs
The MLB Oren Burks (#71) is a pretty pitiful linebacker with one of the lowest strength stats i've ever seen. But the outer linebackers are great ZaDarius Smith (#7), and Preston Smith (#4)

CBs
Thankfully the Packers have two #1 corners on this team with Jaire Alexander (#2) and Bryce Hall (#22). And after that having a #2 corner in your 3rd slot is completely fine.

Safeties
Both safeties are pretty good although Amos (#5) will miss three weeks. They still have Savage (#13).

I see the regression this year but I see the playoff run

Prediction: 9-7

@@@Minnesota Vikings
2019 Record: 5-10-1
2020 Record: 6-10
Playoff Record:
Coach History
2019 - Mike Zimmer
QBs Started:
2019- Kirk Cousins
2020- Kirk Cousins
2021- Jalen Hurts

Last Years Prediction: 5-11
Yeah thats close enough. The Vikings don't excite me with Maddens always injured Dalvin Cook. IRL this team kinda works but in madden the homefield advantage doesn't translate for them. And that is their secret sauce.

Jalen Hurts (#23) takes over at QB as the Vikings let Cousins go to free agency. Hurts has thrown 4/5 for 15 yards and 2TD, essentially only playing on garbage time and fake field goals. He has a good arm and brain, but is slow and weak. So there won't be scrambles here or fighting off sacks. Hes an old school stone QB

Dalvin Cooks injured luckily only 2 weeks this time. If he stays healthy the Vikings are good otherwise the hopes rely on Alexander Mattison (#60).

WRs come down to the duo of Diggs (#4) and an aging Thielen (#19). I dunno if what you throw at a slot even matters with this duo. And it certainly will help the new QB

TE wise also has happy news. Kyle Rudolphs (#16) aging but hes still relevant and his replacement Irv Smith (#22) is making huge development strides

Oline left to right: #44, #55, #14, #32, #17
The LT and LG not only suck but they are really old and getting worse. The RG and RT are young and growing. and the Center ranked #14 is in the inbetween for the age groups and likely stays around there. Its a troubling left side, and this QB cant scramble.

Dline
Danielle Hunter (#4) is a stud, and on the other side Christian Rector (#51) is a growing boy. A solid starting DT with Linval Joseph (#21). its not the best but I like this dline

LBs
Barr (#14), Kendricks (#15), Gideon (#21) are the three linebacker boys and I think its a really strong young group

CBs
And then the D falls apart. The best CB here has the best potential with Lavert Hill (#33) only being 23 years old. Mike Hughes (#75) much less chance at 24. And somehow Xavier Rhodes (#124) is still here. These CBs arent stopping anyone

Safeties
Julian Blackmon (#52) is super young so hes one to watch and Harrison Smith (#4) is aging and starting his decline. Wouldn't be surpdised if hes high teens by year end

Prediction: 8-8
I've talked myself into a break even season because they have the potential to win some shootouts but I also think every game will be a shootout

Board 8 law you tag @ninkendo anytime you discuss the lions

@@@Detroit Lions
2019 Record: 6-9-1
2020 Record: 8-7-1
Playoff Record:
Coach History
2019 - Matt Patricia
QBs Started:
2019- Matthew Stafford
2020- Matthew Stafford

Prediction: Bottom 5 team
I was a bit off here! The Lions still love the ties though. The lions actually a decently capable team on defense or they were as I saw a few lions on the marketplace.

Lets hop into the QBs and meet Matthew Stafford (#19) but his in season performance was 32nd and 29th. He has not played up to his skills. Hes also 33 and regressing in stat points. The Lions have this backup Steven Montez (#48) who might be their idea to replace eventually?

The Lions have two HBs in the top 32 Kerryon Johnson (#22) and Jonathan Taylor (#32). I can see the pound strategy here easily

The bright spot amongst receivers has been Kenny Golladay (#15), who has led the offense and was the only probowler from the team last year. Marvin Jones (#56) is just kinda slowly regressing. Golladay had 1k yards and 7 tds, while Marvin Jones did 400 yards and 0TDs. Also the lions only have 4 WRs for some reason

TEs
TJ Hockenson is the #10th best TE in madden but hes out for half the year so who do the Lions have? Jesse James (#39), hes still just 27 years old but like real life never really panned out. Actually his 2020 was 150 yards. Freaky close to his rl 2019.

Oline left to right: #32, #13, #5, #17, #19
This lines incredible. Seriously just run every play and never have stafford throw away the game. Wow!

Dline
The dline is just as good. Trey Flowers (#5) is the X Factor here , Deshawn Hand (#20) is young and rising, and Damon Harrison (#7) is a top tier DT

LBs
Jahlani Tavai (#11) is the star of this linebacker core. The other two Jarrad Davis (#33), and Darrell Taylor (#75) are a bit forgettable

CBs
The good news is Darius Slay (#13) is still really good, the bad news he is degrading in OVR fast. Better news the CB2 is Justin Coleman (#16) is in a great spot and still 3 seasons from madden regression. After that there is nothing. The other 3 CBs are like CB4 or CB5 quality

Safeties
Tracy Walker (#21) and Will Parks (#23) are the safeties. The Lions signed Parks in free agency (former Bronco), and the looney thing is they have Will Harris (#31) as the backup to both these players. Lions AI loves safeties

Prediction: 8-8
I wanted to say 9 wins but the QB play, and lack of WRs make me doubt this teams passing game. Its a pretty solid roster that makes me believe they can have a dominating D and a dominating Rush O

@@@Philadelphia Eagles
2019 Record: 10-6 (Wildcard)
2020 Record: 8-8
Playoff Record: 0-1
Coach History
2019 - Doug Pederson
QBs Started:
2019- Carson Wentz
2020- Carson Wentz (13 Games)
Relief: Taysom Hill (3 Games)

Last Years Prediction 9-7 wildcard
Wow almost, injuries hit me hard last season and the fact my Defense couldn't stop literally anyone. I had to fight and scrape for any win last year because we also couldnt throw the ball. My cap is finally under control, I started the franchise and the Eagles were in a crazy cap hole because I started with a roster full of signed injured reserve players and a whole bunch more. I was essentially paying for a 75 man roster

QBs
Wentz (#6) had one of the better seasons of his career scraping for anything. There were long stretches where TDs seemed impossible and yet somehow good year? Taysom Hill was a nightmare at passing so I let him walk and signed Blake Bortles (#50) for pennies to backup

HBs
I lost my HB3 Boston Scott to free agency, I forgot where he signed but hes pretty useful gl to whoever did! So last year I went with Jordan Howard (#25) and Miles Sanders (#32) and brought them back this year thanks to the power of already under contract. And both are injured but no worries somehow after free agency Saquan Barkley (#6) was just sitting there.

WRs
This may sound silly but I forgot about JJ Arcega Whitesides existence as he was injured all year. That being said my #1 WR is JJ and hes #63 ranked so a bottom tier WR2. After that I have WR3s Spielman and Johnson at actual WR2 and WR3 positions. Yeah im sorry Wentz

TE
This is likely the final year before Zach Ertz (#3) starts regressing but I still have Dallas Goedert (#11) to pick up any slack. TE is like my goto savior here.

Oline left to right: #13, #23, #2, #3, #3
I learned from previous maddens put the real money and draft into your Oline and dline first. I don't think we will find a better oline in football except my C, RG, and RT are over 30 so its a waiting to explode game then im dooomeeddd

Dline
Brandon Graham (#14) shared time last season with Avery but I traded him away and luckily Graham hasnt really regressed yet. Derek Barnett (#5) on the other end is fantastic but hes gonna miss half the year so Josh Sweat (#38) will start in his absence. My hope? Sweat is 24 and has the potential to outclass Graham by year end so I dont get blindsided. oh and at DT Fletcher Cox (#1) and Rookie Dwight McMichael (#50)

Lbs
Isaiah Simmons (#17) was a major steal a season ago in the 3rd round and let me release Gerry who drove me insane with how weak that guy was. At MLB is Nigel Bradham (#58), there was nothing in free agency or the draft so I was kinda stuck. Finally Kyzir White (#32) who I traded a draft pick and a crappy WR for is only 25 years old and its my hope to have a strong ROLB potentially

CB
I spent money on one big player Adoree Jackson (#14) and 25 years old. Which means Darby (#37) and Maddox (#47) get the pressure off them. Hoping this big swing helps

Safeties
I let Malcolm Jenkins walk and traded for Khari Willis (#19) who was on the trade block. I drafted Grant Delpit (#13) last year in the 1st round and that was a home run.

Prediction: 10-6
Barring disastrous injury I feel really good about this team

I have no clue, I read the stats madden provides. You two might be tied completely which means upon loading it, it randomly throws one at #9 and one at #10. Also you can somehow get better on injuries if your under 30, over 30 you get worse. Unless you get the dreaded stat killer which you heal but one of your stats randomly tanks. maddens weird

2019 Record: 6-10
2020 Record: 4-12
Playoff Record:
Coach History
2019 - 2020: Jay Gruden
2021 - ?
QBs Started:
2019- Case Keenum
2020- Dwayne Haskins Jr

Last Prediction 6-10
Who knew case keenum was worth 2 wins? He isnt. Keenum has been ranked 33rd and 34th both years with Haskins finishing at 26th in his 1 year. Something else went awry here

QBs
Dwayne Haskins may have played 26th best but the AI has him ranked 35th. The skins even tried to replace him in the draft with Marc Tanley. And his hidden trait potential might mean that could happen. The windows closing fast here

HBs
I like what the Skins are selling. Guice (#24) is young and growing, and they drafted Willis Love (#40) who has a star potential

WRs
In madden Terry McLaurin (#43) is not a breakout star and is just your everyday WR2...playing at WR1. The rest of the WRs are a mix of WR3 and 4 potential. Nothing exciting

TE
Jordan Reed (#18) is injured so real life mirrored here, he'll miss half the year. BUT the Skins got smart and signed Ricky Seals Jones (#24) whose only 26 and has Star status.

Oline left to right: #17, #22, #19, #4, #21
I was kinda shocked this olines decent! And at parts fantastic. Wow!

Dline:
Ioannidis (#10), Allen (#16), and DT Payne (#10)
This line is scary!

Lbs
Taco Charlton (#24) was acquired , Cory Littleton (#24) was acquired, and Monteaz Sweat (#7) is a stud now. Its not the best backer field but its good!

Cbs
Kendall Fuller (#10) was picked up, and then after that its just a bunch of CB3s and CB4s :X

Safeties
Gilman (#23) and Collins (#7) make up some for the bad safeties

Prediction: 5-11
Overall I think this team goes nowhere because the big weaknesses are QB, WR, and CBs....which usually spells death for AI teams

Playoff Record: 1-2
Coach History
2019 - Pat Shurmur
QBs Started:
2019- Eli Manning
2020- Devlin Hodges

Last Prediction 8-8
Well I didn't believe in Hodges and I got proven wrong but also the Giants had a stacked WR core...and spoiler thats gone!

Qbs
Hodges (#27) is growing somehow and poor Daniel Jones (#39) never ever got his shot.

HBs
Giants had a strange offseason for Hbs, they let Barkley and Gallman go, then signed nobody and drafted nobody. But after the draft they spent 5mil on a one year deal for Alvin Kamara (#3) ....who then got injured and will miss half the year. But they also signed Kareem Hunt (#7) at the same time so I guess it works out...although pricey (10 mil between two guys)

WRs
Sterling Shepard (#29) is the only giants WR left from a season ago. Their WR2 is Kenny Still (#46) who they signed, and WR3 is Albert Wilson (#81). Its not a bad WR corp but its not what they had a year ago

TEs
Evan Engram (#5) should have a monster year with all the targets hes set to absorb

Oline left to right: #45, #6, #16, #6, #12
I have no clue why their LT is so bad considering the cap space this team has. But Wowwww at the rest of this line

Dline:
Dexter Lawrence (#18) and Leonard Williams (#10) are the DEs. Dalvin Tomlinson (#18) is the DT here. I like this line its gonna annoy me like crazy but props

LB
Golden (#45), Joe Bachie (#24), Lorenzo Carter (#22)
Bachie has strong potential to be a league terror but I'm not thrilled with this teams outside LBs

CBs
PJ Williams is the teams #1 corner...and hes rank 54. Janoris Jenkins (#80), and DeAndre Baker (#88). This is a hugeeee liability here. And the youngest player is Baker at 24

Safeties
Peppers (#8) is a stud, and young FS Julian Love (#33) is only 23 and on the rise

Prediction:8-8
This is the year the Giants crash, calling it here.

Relief: Cooper Rush (1 Game)
2020- Dak Prescott

Last Prediction: 12-4 division winner
They fell apart a little at the end but I still feel like this is the scariest NFC team maybe even NFL team

QBs
Dak Prescott (#5) is a terror in this league and theres nothing else to say. Only mahomes is better

HBs
Ezekiel Elliot (#4) and Tony Pollard (#32) are an interesting combo. Zeke has tons of yards both years but few TDs....because Pollard has gotten 9TDs in both seasons and almost 0 yardage

WRs
Gallup (#25) is the WR1 here since Amari Cooper left after year 1. And the rest of the WRs are horrendous!

TEs
Dallas TE is Dalton Schultz (#49), they signed him and he hasnt played in two years. uh oh

Oline left to right: #3, #14, #3, #1, #6
I was wrong the Cowboys have the best oline in madden good lord

Dline
Hey Cowboys have eagles former DT Tim Jernigan (#26), they also have DeMarcus Lawrence (#3), and Robert Quinn (#19). The only thing to watch is if Quinn survives the season, hes started his regression

LB
Vander Esch (#3), Jaylon Smith (#7), are stud LBs but Eric Wilson (#34) is not good, Hes extremely slow and a so so tackler. Not a fan there

CBs
Byron Jones (#6) is a stud, andAnthony Brown (#63) is a low tier CB2. The young Jeffrey Okudah (#74) is one to watch at CB3. And for some reason ex Eagle Jalen Mills (#79) is on this roster

Safeties
Antoine Brooks (#31) is a borderline FS1 but hes young with room to grow, and Starscream is (#10) so yeah this teams set. I forgot I gave a few players randomly awkward looking forms. Starscream is 5'5" 400LBs with an absurd amount of facepaint

Prediction: 11-5
Just book them here, like unless Prescott falls off a cliff this is just happening

2020- Matt Ryan

Last Prediction: 8-8
Kinda spot on

Qbs
Matt Ryan (#22) is 36 years old and regressing away, I was shocked he didnt retire. The backup? Well its Joe Burrow (#42), wow

Hbs
Devonta Freeman (#18) in this world is still with the Falcons and still chugging

WRs
Julio Jones (#7) is 32 but still a demon, no regression here. Calvin Ridley (#22) is out for half the year but is likely the future WR1 here. Pittman Jr (#66) is essentially a WR3 but he has star factor and is young

TE
Former cowgirl TE Blake Jarwin (#47) is the starter here. In this league Austin Hoopers a 1 year date only lol

Oline left to right: #16, #44, #24, #12, #24
This line has some highs some mids, and one really crappy LG. That LG is 31 and that lowly ranked oof

Dline
Rookie Nick Alonso (#53) gets one of the DE starts, and Mckinley (#15) gets the other. Having a stud on one end can help. And in the middle is big ole Grady Jarrett (#5) to stuff

LBs
Oof the Falcons signed my former LB Nathan Gerry (#45) to start, hes real bad. In the middle is Deion Jones (#3) but he will miss the first 4 weeks. And on the right is Oluokun (#28) who seems ok

CBs
The Falcons #1 CB is an aging Desmond Trufant (#36). But the CBs behind him are not great atm but young and could easily improve

Safeties
Eric Murray (#39) is not great, and Ricardo Allen (#19) has hit is ovr peak there and is about to start regressing. Survivable but nothing to write home about

Prediction: 8-8
Bury them. This team has a laundry list of hole positions I don't like

2019 - Sean Payton
QBs Started:
2019- Drew Brees
2020- Jake Fromm *R*

Last Prediction: 10-6, Division winner
NAILED THE RECORD WOO. Yea I thought Jake fromm might be the guy, and he was

QB
Jake Fromm (#17) the saints really just go from one star to another here, no misfires. Backup is Josh Rosen (#46)

HB
The saints let Kamara go and signed 28 year old Malcolm Brown (#84).... :|

Wrs
Michael Thomas (#3), Quick Fastbreak (#24) are a duo. Then they have trequan Smith (#57) whose on the rise. what a squad

TE
Austin Seferian Jenkins (#28) was a strange signing to give a lot of money too. The TE2 is Riley Shields (#36) rookie, his models kinda neat it has a two face vibe going

Oline left to right: #2, #8, #10, #10, #2
This one might be as good or better than Dallas. Wow!

Dline
Cam Jordan (#5) is great and the other DE is good too (Davenport) but hes injured and his backup so Kendall Coleman (#88) will play half the year. Sheldon Rankins (#14) rounds out this great line

LB
Devondre Campbell (#13) is the stud here, the LOLB and MLB are high end 3rd stringers starting which doesnt give confidence

CB
Marshon Lattimore (#8) is one of the scariest corners to throw too, hes wrecked me and hes only 25. Eli Apple is the CB2 ranked 43rd

Safeties
Marcus Williams (#3) and Vonn Bell (#16) is a great duo

Prediction: 11-5
I literally only hate the HB, this team is stacked

2019 - Bruce Arians
QBs Started:
2019- Jameis Winston
2020- Jucker Jukkie *R* (15 Games)
Relief: Jameis Winston (1 Game)

Last Prediction: 9-7 with Jukkie, 6-10 with Winston
Jukkie was more of a winston

QBs
Jukkie (#15) had a rough rookie year

Hbs
Jalen Richard (#66) will be the bucs starter for the first 4 games before Ronald Jones (#49) comes back. either way the runners here are snoozers

WR
Mike Evans (#6), Chris Godwin (#12), Mike Maniac (#48) is one of the best WR trios in the league

TE
Cameron Brate (#33) is ok, but not really a solution past this year due to age

Oline left to right: #33, #2, #18 (although really #47 for 4 games), #30, #58
This oline is trash! The LG is the saving grace

Dline
Solomon Thomas (#22) is good, but Gholston (#78) oofffff old and bad. The DT Vita Vea )#11) though is fantastic

LBs
Nassib (#21)
David (#20)
Barrett (#1)
Is a good to great lb core, But Barrett is injured so Cory James (#69) will play for a few weeks

CBs
The cbs are kinda meh here but both Bunting and Davis are only 24 and in the 40ish ranks, potential here

Safeties
Mike Edwards (#25) and Jordan White heads (#32) are the okish safety duo, not thrilled

Prediction: 7-9
They can pass, but they cant run. Aspects of the D show promise but overall I don't believe in this team. Based off their scores last year, its likely they win shootouts or lose.

Playoff Record: 0-1
Coach History
2019 - Ron Rivera
QBs Started:
2019- Kyle Allen
2020- Cam Newton

Last Prediction 7-9
Had no clue Newton would come back as a terror

Qbs
Newtons (#29) terror days seem over, in the offseason he must have got hit by the bus called regression. Panthers have 0 plan or backups in place

Hbs
CMC (#1) is going to be there for at least another 5 seasons, the future of this squad might be run

WRs
Except DJ Moore (#21) is only 24 years old and on the rise. Likewise Curtis Samuel (#28) is only 25 and on the rise. I dont think Cam Newton will see the full potential of these guys but the next QB will

TE
The Panthers turn to Ian Thomas (#38) to be the guy and uh I'm not a fan! Hes fast but poor at catching and blocking

Oline left to right: #22, #12, #8, #7, #9
Look the LT is a coinflip but the rest of this line is solid and shows why run is the way here

Dline
Gerald Mccoy (#20), Kawan Short (#17), and Dontari Poe (#32). Its not my favorite line for age or even speed but itsnot the worst

LBs
Burns (#6), Kuechley (#1 though out 4 weeks), and Azeem Victor (#51)
Do I need to even say where the issue lies? Victor is a weak boy and I cant stand linebackers that cant tackle

CBs
Donte Jackson (#18) is exactly the young stud corner you want to have cause then the other two being CB3 quality doesnt hurt you as much

Safeties
Tre Boston (#29) and Eric Reid (#30) are the prototype safeties that peak around SS1 or FS1 and then dont hit that next level

Prediction: 9-7
Hard for me to believe in faltering QBs, Brady was a disaster his final season that hurt the team around him

2019 - Kyle Shanahan
QBs Started:
2019- Jimmy G
2020- Jimmy G

Last Prediction: 12-4, Division Winner
My biggest miss. JimmyG regressed from a top tier QB to a bottom tier QB. The team somehow even got beat by my terrible Eagles. Lets take a look at these false prophets

QB
JimmyG (#10) is still ranked highly but last year his completion % dropped, he threw 14 less TDs, and more yards. Meaning redzones became an issue, thats the mark of disaster

HB
Matt Brieda (#17) is a speedy back with little strength, meaning if you hit him in the backfield hes done

WRs
Dante Pettis (#50) is the young WR that doesnt give me hope and also why does he have a jack frost afro? Deebo Samuel (#54) is also not clicking in madden. And then Marquise Goodwin (#80) is just here for the paycheck as hes progressively regressing

TE
George Kittle (#2) is the savior of this offense

Oline left to right: #10, #18, #20, #48, #8
The Tackles are Grade A, the LG and C are good, but no idea whats up with the RG

Dline:
Dee Ford (#13), Nick Bosa (#2), and Deforest Buckner (#6)
This line terrifies me

LB
Mark Nzeaocha (#104) is filling in for an injured Kwon Alexander (#15) for half the year and thats a drop in quality oof
Fred Warner (#8) and Dre Greenlaw (#17) will try to salvage what otherwise would be a studfield

CB
Richard Sherman (#19) just doesnt age, But the other CBs here are low end CB2s including my former CB Jourdan Lewis

Safeties
Kyle KCF (#9), is a stud but Tartt (#25) has me a bit concerned? He started regressing in Tackle stat at age 29 which is premature

2020- Jared Goff

Last Prediction: 7-9
They really shot out at the end to sneak into those playoffs to just get killed

QB
Goff (#14) seems good but hes finished 25th and 27th among QBs and much like real life is overhyped. Fun note his backup is Kyle Allen of former panthers life

HB
Todd Gurley (#11) after a horrendous 2019 had a bounce back year of 700 yards rushing, and the highest average per carry hes had at 5.7

WR
Kupp (#14) and Cooks (#23) keep Goff really more than honest. Robert Woods still kicking around at (#33)

TE
Letting go your star TE to start Tyler Higbee (#25) seems like a bit of a downgrade especially considering age.

Oline left to right: #62, #36, #33, #34, #16
As long as you avoid the RT you can have your way with this oline, wow

Dline
Brockers (#12) and Donald (#1) both hit 30 but until regression sets in, let them feast. Starting at DT is the young Derrick Brown (#25)

LBs
#52, #62, #48. Those are the ranks of the starting linebackers....what???

CBs
Jalen Ramsey (#2) is unfortunately the only line of defense here, the rest of the team are CB4 level :|

Safeties
Due to a season ender Nick Scott (#68) is this years FS, he'll need to be bailed out by Taylor Rapp (#18)

Prediction: 6-10
With an oline that bad I cant be a believer, this D will steal a few wins but I'm selling below average here

Relief: Nick Mullens (10 Games)

Last Prediction: 9-7
I cant even lie and say Nick Mullens 3-7 record hurt them because Kyler Murray started 2-4 before ending his season.

QB
Murray (#9) is a hard sell for me at his rank, the sample size says 15th, Which is still pretty good. I just dont buy the top 10 elite until he can lead a winning season

HB
A reminder the Explorers (former Chargers) are hella dumb for trading Austin Ekeler goto the Bears then the Bears are even stupider for letting him walk to the Cardinals last season. Ekeler (#22) and David Johnson (#55) kept this team in games last season

WRs
You gotta restock the gun. Ceedee Lamb (#35) is showing promise but he needs some space to grow and going up against shutdown corners might stagnate him. Christian Kirk (#40) also needs to grow. I'd have brought some vet in but its all young people here

TEs
Austin Hooper (#4)s latest stop is Arizona but hes gonna miss 4 weeks. Maxx Williams (#31) should be enough to let them survive the first quarter of the season

Oline left to right: #25, #20, #11, #51, #22
Aside from the tragic RG this lines ok

Dline
Mayowa (#41) and Shaq Lawson (#20) are joined by Danny Shelton (#18). This is a dline thats kinda hit their peaks so lets see what they got

LB
Chandler Jones (#10) is 31 and has regressed some, enough to drop from top 5 to top 10. Still hes hanging on to be elite. Fowler (#6) provides the other outside LB elite power and then in the middle Reddick (#28) is actually a lot better than the ovr grade rank thing he got

CB
Patrick Peterson (#30) is still around and still kicking as an outside CB1. CB2 on this team is Byron Murphy (#31) who would replace him but hes out 6 weeks. So the cardinals will turn to aging DJ Hayden (#95) aND rOB Alford (#147)

Safeties
Budda Baker (#8) is elite but Eric Berrys (#33) best days are really over. Berry lost a lot of his tackle stat due to regression

Prediction: 4-12

I was very close here. I just didnt believe in the seahawks magic for some reason and the team never really had it together

QB
Wilson (#2) is perfect lets move onto the backup Case Keenum which after 2 dreadful years on 2 different teams is finally not getting a starter role

HB
Chris Carson (#9) will miss 4 games so Rashad Penny (#30) will fill in. Nice duo backfield, no issues next

WR
Tyler Lockett (#11) is a monster in this league, and DJ Metcalf (#31) isnt far behind
Really the big shock is Josh Gordon (#74) is the WR3 and hanging around

TE
Will Dissly (#17) is great and young

Oline left to right: #41, #32, #25, #9, #35
Oof another rough oline. The RG ranked in the elite status? Hes 30 and while olinemen usually dont regress til 32/33 this one started early

Dline
Clowney (#6) and Andreson (#26) are joined by DT Reed (#16). Its a good line

LB
Ryan (#25), Bobby Wagner (#2), and Bud Dupree (#15). this works

CB
Shaquill Griffin (#12) and Tre Flowers (#33) are a good 1-2.

The Jets are a mystery. Sam Darnold cant stay healthy and while his backup in 2019 gave away the season, Eason came out with a 3-2 record and kept them alive. The bad trend from the offseason is this team signed so many old players or payed a ton of money to WR Allen Lazard for no real reason. The Defense gives me some hope though

I bet too highly on this team for some reason. This team just doesnt strike me as good. 4 Halfbacks on the team and the best is Devin Singletary (#39), they have Amari Cooper (#10) and then drop to #70 on WR2. The entire offense except Allen and Amari are just not starters. The defense though? much better aside from one DE ranked #84th thats starting

Biggest Strength: Strong Defense at all positions but LE
Biggest Weakness: Pedestrian offense

Why not

NAILED IT. Yea the aging Brady played them off a cliff and he retired. So the big get for this team? Mitch Trubisky???!! What?! Hes ranked 20th but played the Bears into coffins. Why? Edelman also retired so now Josh Doctson (#88) is the starting WR...oh no. They overpayed for TE Oj Howard and he died. The bailout here? the Patriots put all their money into Defense.

Biggest Strength: The Defense is gonna have to carry every game
Biggest Weakness: Throw the entire Offense out and start over wow

Nailed it again. Bridgewater was the 8th best QB ranked last season and he gets back his Shattered Elysium at HB. . They also went out and stole Gerald Everrett in free agency. My only Off gripe is the Center (#39) isnt stellar. I think the Defense is pretty solid but a lot of key starters are hurt.

Biggest Strength: Bridgewaters play
Biggest Weakness: Injuries
Hey B8!: Shattered gets to show his stuff

I nailed the division part and had Watson played that 16th game they may have gone 10-6. Close enough. With DeAndre Hopkins (#1) hurt for 4 weeks that means my former WR Alshon Jeffrey (#67) will start at WR1 with the fading skillset of a WR3. Its also another team with a bunch of CB3s playing in positions that will get them torched by opposing teams

Biggest Strength: Powerful offense
Biggest Weakness: Softest CB group

I have no idea what caused this collapse. But I know its gonna be as bad. I poached two players, as did well every team. The Colts got feasted on. Ty Hilton (#16) is dropping really fast at age 31. The Oline is great and they have Eric Ebron (#8) at TE. But uh man the Defense looks dry, aside from a killer safety combo this seems very much rebuild

The magic is gone from Foles, in 2019 he played ok but last season was one of the absolute worst QBs and hes just getting older and worse. But Gardner Minshew isnt doing anything to get better so here we go again. Honestly letting Fournette go seems silly and really the best HB on the team is FB Panda Master. This team has no Dline, no Cbs, and 1 on the rise safety with the other being a bit dead in the water. The linebackers are some of the leagues best

Biggest Strength: LB core led by Lolo Guru and Myles Jack
Biggest Weakness: So many to count here uh maybe the absolute lack of a TE? the Corners? I dont know I could give 6 answers
Hey B8!: Give the ball to Panda, and let Lolo run wild

Last Prediction 7-9
Tannehill did this team good, then they signed Keenum and fell apart. So they let him go and sign a fading Kirk Cousins (#25). I think the offense is pretty good, they lost ringworm at TE for the season but the WRs are scrappy and decent. The oline can block. The defense is like two-face. One good safety, one bad. One good de, one bad. Although they have 3 good linebackers

Biggest Strength: FS easily
Biggest Weakness: TE due to injury
Hey B8!: RIP Ringworm

The Tua project so far is whatever. The weird thing is this offense is the same going into year 3 that it was in year 1...except the olines WORSE somehow. Yeah this oline is pretty bad. The defense is really good except the linebackers. They are like backups or 3rd stringers trying to start

Biggest Strength: The Hb, WR, and TE really keep Tua in the game

Props to Denver for trying to keep that Tannehill magic going but it fizzled out hard. Drew Lock who went 1-0-1 is getting the start but with such similiar OVRs between the two I wouldn't be surprised if Lock struggles the Broncos switch at QB. Does the league have a TE shortage or something? The oline is good but elderly. The dline is def bottom 5 in the league but LBs, Cbs, and Safeties are enough to make up

So Sheens not off to a good start....except he is. Hes statistically off to a pretty good start! So whats the issue here? Well the LG is iffy but otherwise its not the offense its the D. The Defense has very lackluster players at every position except CB, which they might have the best 1-2 tandem.

Biggest Strength: Overall solid young offense
Biggest Weakness: The Defense is missing help
Hey B8!: Go sheen go

I'm personally excited for this Week 1, offseason stories are fun lets see what panned out and occured

Week 1
Ravens > Chiefs: Ravens rolled here. Mahomes looks like he got injured early played thru it and got wrecked again. For now Kyle Lauletta will take over at QB
Texans > Patriots: This was 28-9 and then Trubisky started leading a comeback but they fell short
Jags > Bengals: Foles came out of his grave to shred the Bengals, Lologuru 5 tac 0.5 sack
Titans > Jets: It didn't take a single game for Darnold to go down, and this time Jacob Eason gave the game away. The Titans kinda literally stole this game cause they scored 2TDs and I literally cant find them. Menji 4 tac
Eagles > Vikings: 0-0 until the 4th qtr when the Eagles threw for a TD and returned one on defense for a score. Jalen Hurts looked horrendous in debut.
Rams > Bears: The debut of Emmanuel Griffin was ok until he threw a pick that ended their scoring drive. Beavis 6 tac
Panthers > Redskins: In the most bizarre story Newton went down and Will Grier went off for 3TD and a near perfect QB rating.
Packers > Cardinals: In a game of no passing TDs, the Packers win in OT thanks to FB Ryan Hewitt! Jc Gamer 6 for 62
Seahawks > Colts: Seahawks blowout Colts 24-0, Jacoby Brissett throws 3INTs and is the worst QB of week 1
Lions > Steelers: Lions win a shootout in which Steelers mason rudolph actually played really well in loss
Explorers > Cowboys: Tua Tago went down early and the game was looking dead, when in the 4th qtr Marcus Mariota led a 24 pt comeback to win the game! Starscream 2 tac
Browns > Broncos: Drew Lock has found his favorite target I guess! Even though they lost in OT Lock hit MZero for 3TDs in this game! @MZero11 5 for 83 yards and 3TD, War 5 tacs
Giants > Raiders: Giants opened week 1 by getting a Safety on Sheen and although Sheen outplayed the Raiders the Giants took the win. Sheen 239 yards 3TD0INT 30yd rush
Bucs > Saints: Jukkie struggled a bit but he leads the Bucs to an upset victory. Maniac 3 for 57 yards, Fastbreak 8 for 47 yards.
Bills > Dolphins: Josh Allen throws 4TDs and crushes the phins. Shattered 19 rushes for 64 yards and 1n catch for 26 yards.
49ers > Falcons: 49ers just steamroll the Falcons who had no O or D in this game, KCF 2 tac and an INT

Story #1 is well the above MysteriousStan trade, the Explorers instantly improve their linebacking core and the Patriots have some target out there for Trubisky. With both being young you have good players to build around. (Neither player was elligible to play in week 1 due to the trade I guess?)

Story #2 is Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes set to miss half the season, Chiefs in panic mode!

Story #3 and then Broncos WR MZero breaks his foot and will miss 8 weeks ;-;

Story #4 Bucs WR @Maniac64 dislocates his knee and will miss 2 weeks

Story #5 Cardinals WR Ceedee Lamb will miss 15 weeks with foot fracture
