honestly the biggest reason i'm tempted but likely not buying games is because 1) Xbox Game Pass is stupidly good, and 2) i'm grandfathered into Humble Bundle's upgrade and both this month and next month have some amazing games in it.

both provide me with a backlog of modern games that i already know i'm not playing what i buy.

the $150 TVs so far are onn. (Walmart in house brand) and Westinghouse's 2019 model. i haven't seen any technical reviews on either so i don't know what to expect exactly but of those two, i'll trust the latter due to recency and having that low confidence in walmart branded anything. i assume amazon will do a sale eventually on the same TV since Best Buy and Target are selling that model, so they should too. and for good measure i expect some good deals on TCL (5th and 6th series respectively), which is definitely the budget king if you're going for gaming or PC use (can get away with 4th series if that's your purpose but it's a notable improvement after that).

worst part about this statement:
when Target went live i finally caved on BOTW.
and Rakuten has a sitewide discount of 20% on their entire store, which is perfect for the slightly discounted Pokemon games as it brings it down to the low-mid 40s.

I kind of got lucky. By the time it hit $300 it wasn't available anywhere online but I checked on the Target website filtered it down to stores that had it in stock only. There was a store about 80 miles away that had it and we just made a day trip of it and did other stuff in the area to make it worthwhile (was where we found the engagement ring she loved too).

Looking at the Target website now, there's still stores that have it in stock. Whether there's one near you is another matter. After I snagged the one near Tampa, it now shows the next nearest to me as Murfreesboro which is almost 600 miles away.

they're running this bundle of Switch + Mariokart 8 for the price of, well, a Switch. So that's $80 Cdn off I guess. Looking like a strong impulse buy candidate since there are a couple of other Switch games I can see myself wanting to play in the future (i.e. Xenoblade Definitive Edition)

But apparently the version of the Switch in the bundle is the older one with the weaker (2.5 - 6.5 hrs) battery life vs. the newer (4.5 - 9 hrs). I guess the question is, does the extra 2 - 2.5 hours of battery life really matter, to save $80?

I'm thinking about my situation and I'm not on the go that often, but it still feels like such a difference I wouldn't want to miss out on... ah, I probably wouldn't even have time to play it in December, I might just wait for Boxing Day.

Honestly it completely depends how much you see yourself playing in handheld mode vs docked.

I play strictly handheld so intended up getting a Switch Lite but I think most people prefer docked so if that's you then it's probably not an issue

btw noticing places like newegg advertising black friday deal on things that are not discounted from their recent prices(Lots of RAM labled as black friday but being at the same cost its been for weeks).

Nothing in an advertised/email sale, but just generic searches on neweggs website. So be careful.

Currently thinking of moving up to windows 10 from windows 7(End of life sad times) and with that i want to take advantage of the RAM capacity so I've been browsing.

I think there's a store that has the new ones for $50 off for Black Friday. I'd probably just go with that

Not in Canada, or at least my research hasn't turned up any... best I could get would be New Switch + Breath of the Wild bundle for $30 off.

Our Black Friday still can't compare to stateside, we've always had our best discounts on Boxing Day so yeah, may just gamble and wait for Dec 26 to see if there's anything better.
