Imagine thinking that someone exhibiting signs that theyre unstable and violent should not have their guns taken away

imagine someone gets to have their private property taken away that they have a constitutional right to have because a girl friend had a grudge to pick. and have fun with the lawyer fees getting them back (undamaged).

Absolute bananaland logic

You say that but it happens. All it takes is for someone to say you're suicidal and the cops can take your guns. Someone can even hint you have bad intentions with guns and they're taken away.

Bad people shouldn't have guns, but good people shouldn't have theirs taken away

Can you post any actual evidence of people wrongfully having their guns taken away?

Obviously criminals break the law. Thats what makes them criminals. Doesnt mean we shouldnt have rules.

Id say its more of a case of the system not properly enforcing those rules we already have. there has been a disturbing amount of mass shooters that have gotten past the system, where the FBI specifically stated they shouldnt have if the people in charge actually did their job (including parkland, Dylann Roof, texas church shooter ect).

Its almost like the gun manufacturers shouldnt be able to make and sell so many damn weapons in the country

You ready to say this about car manufacturers making cars? Because they kill more people annually than guns do.
And when you remove gun suicides then its not even close.

And cars are actually regulated far more than firearms

So nice

Except they arent, at all. When have you done a federal background check to buy a car? When have you had to wait a mandatory waiting period to receive your car you just bought.

You didnt think your point through at all, and it shows.

Drivers license, mandatory insurance, registration and renewal, emissions testing

If cars are indeed more regulated than guns, and yet cars still kill more people than guns, you kind of just made my point for me.

there are plenty of instances of individuals who have had their firearms taken away unfairly (or illegally). Most do not make headlines or the news. But here's one https://michellawyers.com/former-police-officer-files-rico-suit-against-l-a-p-d-for-illegal-gun-seizure/

Hard for me to have any sympathy for a private individual that thinks they need to be entitled to own over 300 guns when kids are getting murdered at school every week

they are not the least bit related to one another. That is like not being sympathetic for someone whose car broke down because there are so many car thefts

More like not having sympathy for someone that got a speeding ticket in a residential neighborhood when a kid got ran over last week

Thatd be a closer analogy

Hey!

Guns can open bottles.
Guns can open locks.
Guns can break clay things that are thrown into the sky.
Guns can shoot water at friends.
Guns can slow someone down so zombies eat them instead of you.
Guns can salute a fallen soldier.
Guns can trigger an explosion from far away.
Guns can make a smiley face in a road sign.
Guns can make a person dance for you.
Guns can be used to rob a bank (without killing).
Guns can be used to threaten others who would kill you (if you didn't have one).
Guns can be used to win prizes at a carnival.

There are many uses for guns that don't involve killing.

Those initial reports were incorrect.

I live in Duncan.

The Walmart in question is behind my office.

Duncan PD have stated several times that the shooter killed himself before the other guy even got there.

Authorities also say a man seen by witnesses nearby with a gun approached the scene after the shooting had ended but did not confront Varela Jr.
