Battles feel so slow, and the online elements for Raid Battles, which youre encouraged to do, takes forever to link up with people.

The difficult Raids have no strategy. Its just about oneshotting the boss. You spend more time waiting than battling

How is the overall difficulty? Is it still easy?

The issue isnt the difficulty, the issue is that the game gives you the means to over level in a BIG way an hour into the game. And thats fine. Its fun in its own way to steamroll the competition, but theres very little other content to make up for this. Even the online Raids are super slow. You spend more time waiting than you do battling.

Wondertrade is also slow, and and annoying. It seems like no ones on

RPGs need to be faster than this. Every aspect of this game from the battling and map, to the menus, is piss slow. I feel like Im just mashing A to get through everything as fast as possible.

A game came out last week that's incredibly slow and is all about taking forever to link up with people, and it's being hailed as a masterpiece.
Clearly, you just need to calibrate your gaming expectations to match with modern sensibilities.

Im really thinking of selling this game to someone lol

black and white 2 had a fair challenge for a kid's game, and they weren't that slow. after that, mega boring

I dont hate it, but Im just going through the motions. There are some good QOL improvements for sure, but most of the new Pokmon look dumb AF and the handful of really cool ones are dragged down by that. If it was not a Pokmon game, people would not tolerate this.

the animations aren't slow, and the loading speeds are single digit seconds long, no he's not.

As far as difficulty I've only seen one guy comment about it and he said "There isn't enough trainers to level you up so you might struggle if you don't battle wild pokemon between gym battles".

Which didn't really tell me much to be honest.

you can get a pokemon to level 100 in like two hours if you really wanted by just grinding raid battles and dumping all the xp candies you get

Im a big fan of this game. The only major flaws outside of the Dexit are the overlong unskippable cutscenes when you Dynamax and the lack of a GTS. The rest is honestly the best pokemon game since X and Y or maybe even Black and White.

maybe if you speedrun it.

i completed the story, and post game, with about 43 hours on the clock.

game is really fun. it was hard to get over the dexit thing, but eventually you just forget about it and go "yay, fun!"

the wild area is legit awesome.

I actually think the opposite. I think the Wild Area is the weakest part of the game by far, right next to the teeny tiny towns and cities. Spikemuth is just a hallway with a Pokmon center that ends with the spot you fight the gym leader. Balloonlea is a road with two houses!

Sure each town has its own identity, but they have nothing to do!

I think the game is great. My only problems with it are that the main story feels WAY too linear and that the region feels really small. Other than that it's been a lot of fun.

sounds about right.

the only gen with towns that had a bunch of ones to go into was 3rd gen.

there was very few houses you could go into in 1st and 2nd gen, comparitively less than 3rd gen in 4th gen

i don't super remember 5th gen, but i want to say only the big main city had a bunch of stuff to so, same with 6th, and 7th gen

not that there was every anything to do by going into houses besides the occasional useless item, which this game does have plenty of. i also think all towns, except for maybe spikemouth, has a battle cafe

i knew where to look and i never even saw the cursor when i watched the credits

also, watching people beating the game now, i haven't been able to see a cursor in their credits, either

it's almost as if that clip from the credits with the cursor was from someone streaming the game and they moved their mouse.
