This is Fire Emblem, not anime. Do you want a modern Fire Emblem game with guns or something?

Because they already made that. Or do you want a Fire Emblem game based on ancient Japan? Because they made that too

Because America is too? Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, etc. Anyway, I think it's because the setting is considerably easier to work with than a modern one. Also, this is Fire Emblem, a strategy JRPG series that's been around since 1991, so they really shouldn't be called out on this.

Yeah, Fire Emblem is definitely anime inspired and always has been. Nothing wrong with that though as that's it staying true to it's roots.

Doesn't matter where it is made exactly. What matters is the things that influence it. Also Britain is a part of Europe.

I'm not sure if you are memeing, but Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones are American productions.

But if you want to be technical about it, I guess Tolkien was born in South Africa.
But the books (both series) are extremely popular in America.

Fire Emblem is also popular in America.

They have, but this has been going on since Awakening, and since Awakening was a large part of what helped revitalize the series and keep it going, they are going to keep using shit from Awakening to try and continue the series' success. So yeah, blame Awakening. It's why Fates, Heroes and Three Houses ended up the way they did. Albeit Three Houses was okay.

what are you guys even on about. Three Houses is probably the best game in the series and there's very little fan-service in the game compared to the 3DS titles.

Basically all we got was fan service at the very end of the game.

Three Houses is alright, but I don't know about the best game in the series though. The Persona 3 - 5 simulation formula and character affection system REALLY drags the pacing of the game down. And while you can skip it, if you do, you're gimping your characters and yourself in the long run, especially if you plan to do multiple playthroughs and want to make the most out of each one. The Crimson Flower path seems rushed and it's story and character motivations make little to no sense. Also, the ending for that path has a glaring plot hole and is incredibly disappointing because you don't get to actually take out the true antagonists in game. The ones who hurt Edelgard in the first place and manipulated her with their propoganda, and by doing so with her, you as well, since you joined her, into doing their dirty work the entire time. You only hear about a new conflict with them in the epilogue, while you actually face and defeat them in the other paths.

I wouldn't tack off too many points off the game for the Crimson Flower path. It was 1 path and it feels like an extra bonus path more than anything. They shouldn't have let players play it as their first route.

That said, they just improved it a tiny bit with the DLC by adding a cool character exclusive to the path.

Eh, while that is true, they really half assed on his supports and especially those of the paid DLC character Anna. She has none if I remember right, which is ridiculous. I really hope the upcoming new mode and story expansion end up being great, otherwise this season pass I bought is going to be a huge overpriced bust.
