Just got to Elseworlds for Flash. Hilariously Barry is more effective in that one episode than he has been in the entire season. Was kinda surprised how many characters were mysteriously missing from the Thanksgiving episode just before it. I hear Joes actor got injured and that was why he wasnt in it, but Ralph was just nowhere for no reason

Elseworlds has Barry be in Olivers body via some weird reality altering or something. Barry manages to floor Diggle during training and also has sweet arrow skills despite never having really used the weapon before and before all this I just keep watching him get his ass kicked by the villain of the week in boring fights lol

Joe got injured very badly, he was absent most of last season because of it

Ralph will just vanish a lot

Aww :(. Hope he recovered well. As for Ralph hes my second favorite character in the show so that also sucks. Just about every character on the team is being sidelined so much they might as well be Olivers new team level

I think it's a little more than just switch bodies, they switch entire lives so in that universe, Barry was Green Arrow so that's why he's good at it.

Huh... so it's been long established that Oracle exists (or at least, the codename is 'taken') in the Arrowverse, but this week's Batwoman implies that there was no Earth-1 Batgirl. Does that mean Oracle isn't Babs?

Finished Black Lightning S1, hated the first few eps. Really hate the ex wife but around Ep 8 the entire thing became just pure bananas. It lost all sense of reality and it actually made the show pretty watchable.

As someone who hasn't watched any of these shows since Arrow season 5 and Flash season 3, what would be the biggest change that would surprise me if I just randomly started tuning in now? Feel free to spoil.

Arrow: Oliver married Felicity and they have a kid together (who with his kid from another marriage have come from the future to hang out.) Oh and the Laurel that's on the show now isn't the old one, she's an evil version from Earth 2 (or was it 3? I forget) that is trying to be good.

Flash had his future daughter show up last season but she's dead now.

If you just started watching Arrow from the beginning of the season, you would be surprised to see a smaller cast, including no Felicity and a huge focus on the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths event. You probably wouldn't understand what was happening in the future flashforwards however, but you could figure it our pretty quickly I think.

Flash wouldn't really change much honestly.

I would be interested to see that if only for the bottom section cause as much as I love the Arrowverse I think it would be a bit of a stretch to get 100 quality characters.

I can agree to that but the way its handled the time on a show wouldn't necessarily mean best, weve had a few characters with very short screen time that were great. And then we had a season of cicada.

Crazy to see Flash with a villain that can command such good episodes. This and the Halloween ep, I'm very happy with Bloodwork, that's twice now he's provided such a distinct and strong horror theme to the show.

... Starting the Arrow ep this week and huh this is feeling incredibly similar to the Flash one.

Sure they namedropped Groundhog Day and Edge of Tomorrow, but really, the closest analogies were Happy Death Day and Supernatural's Mystery Spot, imo.

I'm kinda behind on Flash but I like it so far. I like Bloodwork's actor and interactions with the main team. It's going wayyyy faster though which is great and the main problem with S5. So many scenes felt like they were setting up something in the next episode but then they resolved it like 2 scenes later.

I forgot Batwoman came out, I might catch up with that before the crossover (if it's even part of it?). Totally lost track of Supergirl and the other shows though so gonna skip those.

Finished S2 of Black Lightning, I like that this show tells short stories in 2-4 eps each instead of getting stuck in a cicada situation.

I dont know why they even keep the charade of Garfield High anymore. Jennifers never going back to school, and Jefferson obviously never works. It kinda made Painkiller a bit of a fall flat character for me, cause the actors terrible. And well it worked painting the darkness and blinds eye that Jefferson turns as principal of Garfield but with the school and his job being as serious as Barrys CCPD job well this character had zero place to go but defect so I get it. Still ugh.

I found myself fast forwarding over
-every church scene
-every wife rants irrationally like shes felicity or early season laurel scene or any Iris scene
-Most of jennifers scenes

I found myself on the edge of my seat
-everytime tobias on screen
-anytime Gambi was on screen
-anytime Lala was on screen, I actually really like this actor and although I have no idea where this characters going. I'm invested
-anytime Black Lightning only has to play off one character hes fantastic, if its multiple the actor kinda struggles oddly
