Yeah, in Milwaukee on Saturday.

The Spurs played really good interior defense, and kept forcing the Bucks to shoot it from deep. When their 3s wont fall it doesnt end well. At one point the Spurs were hitting around 70% on their 3s, which is absurd. Well earned victory

Take that blasphemous view back

Those uni's are amazing. I was in the club store day 1 buying a Fultz city jersey. The floor is also great. I prefer them to most of our normal uni's, especially this seasons statement jerseys which are way worse than last seasons

I hate how little the casual NBA fan knows

Twitter going crazy because the Magic applied for a disabled player exception for Isaac. They all think he is now done for the season even though a player can come back if a DPE is granted and play with zero consequences.

Magic front office simply following procedure yet everyone going crazy because they don't know the rules even after you explain it to them

Booker absolutely won that game though. 1 steal (plus an assisted steal) and 2 stone cold 3's with under a minute remaining.

Magic fans were miserable after the game because we were missing literally half our rotation (5 players out) but then we still had the game in hand and choked it. Some blamed the refs (which 2 minute report backed up) but really just don't commit multiple turnovers when you're up by 4 points with 58 seconds left. Make them foul you or at least take the full shot clock.

Could be a long week for us with 5 more road games to come and 2 look unwinnable (B2B against both LA teams)

The Raptors went from "we can win despite missing our best players" to "yeah maybe missing our best players and giving end of the bench guys major minutes isn't the best thing".

It never ends too. For every starter that returns from injury, two more take his place. It's crazy that this team is keeping pace with the top of the East.

it's incredible what you've done. but yeah, losing a top player can result in a short term burst, but long term, talent shines through.

... which doesn't explain how indy is ALSO doing it, but whatever

I'm very afraid of seeing the Pacers in round 1 with a healthy Oladipo. Every East team should want to avoid the 3-6 range because those are going to be very tough matchups to get in the first round.

I'm hoping the Raptors can get healthy enough to make a run for second because the talent level drops significantly in those final two spots. Only two games back despite literally not being healthy all year!

Magic fans are currently arguing amongst themselves whether we should try drop out of the playoffs as we know we have little chance against anyone in the first round.

I'm of the opinion you get to the playoffs to try continue a winning culture but I'm surprised by how many people just want to tank if you can't contend. Like it's pretty rare to go from early lottery to contending. It's a gradual process but most fans just think that the only way up is getting a good lotto pick. It's not even like we could fall into a decent lotto pick either, would be like 12-14 range at best.

this is the worst thing about "The Process" because it's made this mindset widespread in every sport even though it's debatable whether it actually worked

it requires both luck and culture

indy right now for example is not a true contender unless they get oladipo back. and as you know well, oladipo was picked #2 overall. indy was only able to get dipo to begin with because they got lucky with paul george at #10 or something.

but 90% of top contenders have multiple highly drafted players, even if they got lucky to acquire them. it's the highest probability (and lowest skill) route to success

the process absolutely worked! you can't call every strategy a failure if it doesn't result in a title. they have two future MVP caliber players, and that's even after bungling fultz/tatum. they've smashed both the celtics and the bucks, the 2 best teams in the east, and they almost beat the champs last year.

I don't know how Simmons will ever become this if he never wants to shoot beyond 3 feet.

And people want to tank to get good enough to win a title, which is why they're saying "eh there's no point in getting in if we can't win"

but either way the point is that you still have to get really lucky in the draft even if you tank so it's not this magical cure-all some fans seem to think it is

it took the Sixers several drafts to actually get those two players

And for every Sixers, there's a Suns, Kings, Wolves, Hawks, Bulls, etc.

Hell, the Bucks had the #2 pick and a #15 pick the past decade. Guess which one is MVP.

Don't get me wrong, there's no nobility in mediocrity but you absolutely don't have to put out 10 win teams to be good.

I think the process worked even without a title yet. It gave them all star building blocks to work around, both of whom still have room to improve and grow, and as long as they build smartly around them, they'll be contenders for years to come. The process itself is only tanking to draft franchise players, regardless of what they do after. They did that, and it succeeded. They got the players, and the players are really good. The process achieved what it set out to achieve, but there's more that goes into a title after the process.

The problem now is that they're throwing around 25+ mil for 3 years to the likes of al horford, who's currently averaging like 12 ppg and 6 rpg and is 33 y/o, was there really no better free agents they could attract with that cap space? I'd much rather have just held onto the space and tried again next year. Moves like that are what's holding the 76ers back imo, but that has nothing to do with "the process" at all.

I guess I'm more surprised by the Magic fans willingness to go back to that type of culture after 7 years of being at the wrong end of the lotto for very little return. We saw that a losing culture is not good for developing talent. At some point you have to try win and abandoning ship after 1 playoff season just seems ridiculous to me. Especially as we have been absolutely riddled with injuries this season.

Like is a pick at 11-14 really going to make the difference compared to a pick at 15-17? The cost to move up wouldn't be awful if you have to have a dude at like 8-14. Whereas the difference from 15 to 5 and 12 to top 5 isn't a whole lot because you're going to have to give up a ton regardless.

Unless they think we are going to win the lottery with like a 0.6% chance or some shit

Fultz and Gordon were both fantastic tonight as we beat the Lakers despite being down to the absolute bare bones. We had to give significant minutes to a two way player and a dude we picked up on a 10 day contract only yesterday.

I expect a lot of Fultz and Gordon highlights to be shown tomorrow. Gordon had multiple highlight reel dunks (including one like T Mac used to do off the backboard) and Fultz finishing under the rim was phenomenal all night

Probably yes. He's had equally as good games but not on that stage with as many missing players as we did.

Also, interesting stat. Since 2014-15 when he entered the league, no player has defended LeBron better than Aaron Gordon on a points per 100 possessions basis.

Kind of an important game for the Thunder game tonight against the Magic. Starts an 8 game stretch of games with 7 of them against under .500 opponents, need to go 6-2 or 7-1 if we want to make a push out of the 7 seed.

Welcome back reggie

yeah I dont know whats wrong with the kings

well I can point to a lot of things

We got Walton to run the champion Warriors style offense, but he wants to focus on defense even though he said he wanted to play downhill and shoot like 35 threes a game. But we play slow and as you can see our defense is ass. Buddy and him dont get along for whatever reason and when Buddy doesnt have trust from his coach he sucks so bad, this slump is his worst ever. We were better without fox and bagley and it makes no sense. We cant stay healthy for shit.

Nothing makes sense, but we have all the pieces RIGHT THERE we have like 9 or 10 one possession or OT losses
