Are they actually remastering Diablo 2? I don't think it's strictly a PR move. It'll be interesting to see what they can do to the game, because other than widescreen support and QoL improvements, the game is fine.

There were tons of rumors before Blizzcon last year that the release they were hyping was D4, but it ended up being the mobile game instead. That's where the outrage came from. Blizzard employees them came out and basically admitted D4 was being worked on but had a few hiccups in development. The D2 remaster has been rumored for years as well, and was all but confirmed when Wc3 got their remaster. Obviously the beloved D2 was next. This is the complete opposite of "out of left field." Both of these games have been highly anticipated for years. --- Attention campers, lunch has been cancelled today due to lack of hustle. Deal with it. Current LP: Dragon Quest XI ... The remaster has obviously been in the works for a while. They just happened to have a giant clusterfuck shooting themselves repeatedly in the foot right before Blizzcon is all.
