Another done in my quest to replay the entire series before I play KH3.

I'm still amazed how much an improvement 2 was over the previous games. Controls didn't make me want to cry, the combat was so varied with tons of different tactics you need to employ for various bosses and the game even still looks nice to look at in 2019 (except when they sub in their lower poly models during cutscenes when just a second ago they had their higher quality ones they use for close ups)

Platinum requirements is basically a 100% playthrough on Critical. I suppose you do split it up into 2 and do everything on an easier difficulty then rush through Critical, but I wanted to do it all in a single playthrough so that was the option I chose. I hadn't played KH2 since it originally released in 2005 so I couldn't really tell you what was new and what wasn't in Final Mix outside of Lingering Will and the 2nd secret movie, but I ended up doing it all anyway. Some of those Data XIII fights sure gave me a run for my money and I was probably a dummy spending 3 hours fighting Sephiroth back when I was level 48, but hey all's well that ends well.

Finished just in time for Trails of Cold Steel III later this week which will mark the time where I'm pretty much only going to play 2019 releases (and older KH games) for the rest of the year.

man kh1 isn't that bad

I've played games with bad controls, Kh1 is fine, except for maybe the camera.
