27 y/o Mandy Velez, a New York Journalist for the Daily Caller celebrated paying off her 102,000 DEBT from student loans by holding a FUNERAL for the "burden" as it was the last third she "killed" in 8 MONTHS and paid it all off in full in 6 YEARS!!

She shared images of the ceremony on instagram and wore a black outfit in Manhattan after paying off the debt from the University of Pittsburgh as she set the goal of paying it off before she reached 30, and it was 3 years early..and she only earns 40,000 a YEAR!!...

She paid off the first 70,000 in 5 years of 1166 a month and the last 32,000 in 8 months, about 4000 a month

She shared her journey on her instagram and explains that she moved to the Big Apple with 75,000 in loan debt but opted to pay more than the minimum due to slowly paying it off..about 1000 a month instead of 300 and didn't miss a payment despite even being FIRED at one point

And while she doesn't have people dependent on her,she didn't rely on others to achieve her goal either since she was a single,childless, able bodied woman who was lucky

She took on several low end jobs and ate cheap groceries for so long but no one paid her bills and now she can finally save for her future.

She thanked her friends for understanding her "cheap" lifestyle and her family for pushing her to go to a state school first even though the financial aid wasn't enough

Mandy has been a strong supporter of ELIZABETH WARREN recently who proposed student loan debt to be capped at 50,000 even though she was a BERNIE supporter in 2016

She wanted to tell everyone that if she can pay off the debt then anyone can if they just cut back and put their mind to it...but acknowledges that not everyone can do it because there may be lack of jobs, affordable housing etc..and that it's a RIGGED GAME and doesn't want other students like her to feel that burden

Mandy wants people to vote for the policy that makes the system much more fair and any action will help and believes Elizabeth Warren is the right choice
