Firstly the movie presented itself as some sort of supernatural thriller except it wasn't.

And the general premise is apparently that it's okay to steal children from poor people and sell them to rich people.

Not particularly, I mean he was compared to Jodelle Ferland but I think she's like 5'

Kids are disappearing in this small town and it seems like it's the work of a mysterious entity called the Tall Man, turns out it's the lead who is kidnapping the towns children to give them to rich people "Tall Man" is the name of the organization that is doing it.

There's a point where it makes it seem like the lead is giving the children to the Tall Man and she claims she murdered the children but she does so to protect the organization. The movie seems to suggest that taking children from poor families' to give to rich families is a morally right thing to do and the lead is a martyr for going to prison to hide the truth.

Thats pretty weird if theyre not making her the villain protagonist. I dont think the writers should expect someone with sympathize with that.
