I had never played the original, and I loved it. There are framerate dips, but they weren't significant enough for me to care about them.

If youve never played the original, just spend the < 10 bucks and youll get the exact same experience.

It is a remake and it is incredibly similar to the original but there are some additions worth mentioning.

Firstly there is the bonus dungeon which was on the GBC version and not the original

You've got the dampes shack where you do challenges in dungeons and can make your own

There are more heart pieces and sea shells to collect

I didn't notice the slowdown so either it's very hit and miss, a patch fixed it or it's not actually slow down enough for me to notice.

There was no patch, the most likely issue is your eyes can't tell the difference between 60 and 30 fps

The DX version is on the eShop and has the dungeon. (The original black and white version I dont think has ever been ported) Extra heart pieces and dampe are not worth the extra 50 bucks.

Dont waste your money on the remake unless you can get it for half price somehow >_>

I loved it. Super cute and fun and in classic Zelda style, which I've been missing. It helps that I never played the original, though.

Exactly, I'm not spending 60 bucks on a game that looks like it could be done on 3ds. Bring on botw2 already. It should be great considering how awesome the first one was. It needs a better weapon system and classic Zelda items and especially dungeons.

I experienced many minor/negligible stutters while in TV mode during most of my playthrough, I say most because I probably played 5-10 minutes in handheld and those stutters were much more noticeable, so I went back to TV mode.

Still worth it, I REALLY wanted to play a "traditional" Zelda and I hadn't played LA in YEARS!

I think big games like BOTW which provide more than $60 of content are balanced out by games like this tbh. Financially
