As far as seasons go people will generally pick anywhere from 8-13 as being the last good one, but what about individual episodes? I always stop at season 10, but sometimes I'll hear people cite a select few episodes from some later seasons as being diamonds in the rough.

Also the movie doesn't count

I consider S11's "Behind the Laughter" to be the series finale, but S18's "Marge Gamer" amuses me

I tried to do a watch of the later seasons a few years ago but I didn't get very far.

"The Spy Who Learned Me" season 23 stuck out for me, but I'm a Bond fan and probably biased.

is basically their version of "Behind the Music" but with stuff like Lisa being on anti-growth hormones (to extend the life of the show) and Homer being addicted to painkillers
it treats the cast like they're actual people who made a show about their lives

I've heard a few people mention "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind," though I personally don't think the episode is anything special.

S27 E9 "Barthood" is basically a universally loved one.
The Season 29 Finale "Barts Ladder" was pretty good too IMO.

I doubt any new Simpsons feels like the old Simpsons, with more realistic characters and jokes within jokes at constant speed, but I'm sure there's some good episodes. The Treehouse of Horror episodes are usually worth viewing.

Don't go out of your way to watch the new Treehouse of Horrors. The last 3 or 4 years they've probably been the worst episode of the season. I didn't watch the newest one (that was tonight) yet but I'm not hopeful.
