Seems kinda bullshitty to me. I mean, Monster Hunter World is also live service, but only sells cosmetics (last time I checked anyway) and they've managed to get crossovers with third-party titles, like Horizon Zero Dawn, Witcher, Assassins Creed, and Final Fantasy XIV. Those had to have cost something good. They even got Geralt's voice actor in to record dialogue. Maybe they should consider doing collabs, too. Can't hurt. It got flak back in the day for not being several times better than City, but it's still a good game in its own right. You get proper fights with Deathstroke and Bane, the Riddler quest doesn't need to be 100% complete to get a resolution, there's no batmobile, and I like the martial artist enemies. I somehow managed to beat the story without encountering Deadshot, though. Much like how Dark Knight was regarded as a superhero movie that does true justice to its protagonist, Arkham Asylum was the equivalent for video games. Asylum and City are regarded as the best in the series since they had Paul Dini, a writer from Batman TAS, on board. I personally dislike City's ridiculous amount of Riddler challenges and obscure sidequest triggers, though. Don't know about motion controls. Unfortunately, Joker has a big chunk of screentime in all of them. All the other villains do get their fair share of love, though. Origins is the only main game that doesn't have him as the final boss. He also only appears in one story expansion across the whole series: A Matter of Family from Knight. It's unfortunate, because Origins and Knight both gave people the impressions that someone else would be the big ultimate bad guy. They typically consist of scanning crime scenes, following a trail from some substance you found there, beating people up to get to something they're guarding, and sometimes tailing people, but that's easy with the variety of movement options. Riddler challenges are the biggest one across the series. You find little trophies shaped like his green question mark scattered around and you defeat him after finding them all. You'll also have to scan certain objects, do perspective puzzles involving lining up the two parts of a question mark, or do environmental puzzles with clever gadget use.
