Of course he colluded. He colluded with Russia for the election, but then he armed the Ukrainians rebels in Crimea in order for him to collude with Ukraine, just so he can call out the former Vice-President's son so he can get reelected.

It was a sad day when corporations began to influence our elections but at least theyre American companies. Its going to be a huge blow when Trump gets away with this and this precedent is set.

But, anyone that follows politics knows that it doesnt take long for the shoe to be on the other foot. And while I dont condone ANY president doing what Trump did... itll at least be entertaining to watch these dudes(Fox news hosts, Republicans, Trumpers, Zeus, etc.) lose it when a democrat president does it.

He's saying he doesnt want to do something that he knows isnt in many Americans best interest before he gets elected yet is something will obviously benefit both of them later after the fact. Obama was also putting himself before the American people. That's influencing the election correct? Since we want to use such a broad term like "influencing the election." Everything influences an election. And if biden doesnt have any real dirt then what's the issue here. I'm thinking biden does because that was obviously quite the sore spot and the DNC have been attempting to prop him up. If biden does have serious dirt involving ukraine, would that not matter to you because "orange man bad?"

These hearings are getting hard to listen to. Its just the GOP saying the same shit over and over. But whats really hard is the amount to which they repeat certain talking points over and over. None hold any water but... studies show that that doesnt matter. The power of repetition cannot be understated. Combine that with the fact that the majority of voters arent exactly candidates for Mensa, and you quickly see the issue.

GOP is now trying to scare folks saying that if we impeach him that itll set a dangerous precedence and give congress more power than the executive branch and itll mess the balance up.

Their stance is bullshit but even if we were to give them the benefit of the doubt, lets see how choosing the wrong side would effect history:

If the GOP is right, and we back a frivolous impeachment(its not frivolous in this case) then we have congress more power than the president.

BUT...

If the Democrats are right, and we dont back impeachment, then we have given the executive branch and foreign powers a huge and unbelievable amount of power, especially in our elections.

I want to say that it comes down to the lesser of two evils... But this time its pretty clear that only one side is evil.

Can't, unfortunately.
I do think we'd be better off if politicians who were utterly despised by the rest of the country but liked in their own location could be voted out, if they had some insanely high hurdle to do so, like 75%+ voting to remove the person from office. Would spare us a lot of these hyper partisan extremists in the House who will never be voted out b/c their district was specifically carved out to hand them the seat.

Mitch is in the Senate, so it should be possible to boot him out since it's state-wide. And he's up for re-election in 2020! I remember in 2014, Democrats didn't think it was worth it to invest the money to support his opponent (Allison Grimes, was it?) and...that turned out well, didn't it? I really hope this time around they make a big effort to toss him out of office, cause he is single handedly responsible for nearly everything wrong w/ Washington politics today.
Not trying to do so would be a huge mistake. Even when minority leader, he's shown he has absolutely no shame in doing everything physically possible to block even the most mundane of shit, like lower court judges or ambassadors to small countries.
