This.

I liked most of the movies so far, and I liked the overarching narrative, but I feel nothing but apathy for Phase 4 and no real hope for the eventual Phase 5. Nor do I care about the Disney+ shows (and the strong integration between them and the films is a large part of what's spurring my growing disinterest in the movies).

I'll probably watch the Doctor Strange sequel, but I'll probably skip nearly everything else unless I hear a LOT of good reviews about them from people whose opinions I trust.

I'd give the mcu as a whole 6/10 so far based on the movies alone

I have issue with how safe and cookie cutter the MCU films are.

To me that's boring.

I also hate how the films are specifically designed to be part of a franchise of films to try and hook you into watching all the other films.

The MCU is the single greatest franchise in cinematic history! I've seen all of them. More than once. I don't think that will change, as long as the quality stays the same. They're some of the best movies ever made.

I almost never see them in theaters any more because I just don't care for the spectacle of it all. I'll watch the ones that catch my interest on netflix though.

I've watched all of them so far, don't dislike any of them, and am prepared to plow forward with phase 5!

I'm even of the opinion that they're not making enough MCU movies as it is.

Not at all. There are some that I think are fun, but even then I am very against them and similar franchises as a whole. Just want more original stories driven by the filmmakers and not by a corporation, but that has been going downhill in mainstream Hollywood since the 80s and exponentially so since the MCU took off a decade ago and became the singular towering force in pop culture.

I am. I even ended up seeing a few that I probably wouldn't have since I was already invested in the arc near the end. Going forward I might check out some stand outs or get back into it if the phase tie ins are cool.

I'll check out Disney's take on X-Men and such for sure unless they murder it.

I doubt that'll happen. I know people like to say that the MCU only cares about money and blah blah blah. But If you watch any sort of interview things, they do in fact put the characters first. I mean come on, if they only cared about money, there'd be a lot more movies about more well known characters before we'd have gotten a Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

I voted "eh" because while I have seen a few MCU movies and enjoyed what I saw for the most part, nothing there was enough to hook me in. I would have voted "no" because even though I wouldn't mind if the MCU just stopped and there werent any more movies, I don't really care or am bothered by other people liking stuff I don't care much for.

But yeah if you ask me, that "superhero fatigue" ive heard about for the past 5 years can happen already, i am kinda tired of comic book movies. But oh well.

I'm a fan of certain films, like I liked the X-Men series of films and their spin-off(s) like X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I haven't seen the proper Wolverine movie yet but I would like to at some point.

I thought the Fantastic Four movies in the early 2000's were OK but nothing to write home about. Same thing with the Iron Man movies.

The Hulk movies were....eh. I forget which one it was but one of them many of the scenes were pretty dark (as in lighting) even for home viewing.

The Spider-Man ones I haven't really seen any beyond the Raimi trilogy with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.

The Punisher reboot ones were OK, though it was pure stupidity for them to have put the 2004 one out at the same time as Quentin Hackintino's Kill Bill sequel. To me that, combined with John Travolta's hammy acting at the end of it kinda detracted from what was a fun, if violent romp.

However I have repeatedly (repeatedly) watched the two Deadpool movies and likely will watch the X-Force spin-off whenever it comes out. I guess I just prefer the more R rated films in the MCU as opposed to the sugary sweet sooooper hero ones where the "good guy" always saves the day.

As for the rest including the characters with a single film for them (Black Panther, Captain Marvel) I have not yet seen though I may buy them on Black Friday if they're $2-5 a pop.

Watched most of them. Not because I really like them, but because everyone talks about them all the time. None of them have really changed my world or anything, and I didnt give a shit when they tried to scare us with Spideys future in the franchise.

I'm a fan. Seen every movie but 2 (one I don't want to watch and the other I haven't gotten around to it yet).

I'm not burned out but definitely cautious optimism about the next phase(s)
