Paratroopa1 10/14/19 4:36:13 PM #53:	Pokemon Go always making this lists sort of mystifies me in a way It's certainly one of the biggest cultural experiences of the decade, and I do think it's a fun activity that encourages people to go outside, and it's one of the most interesting technological concepts for a game to date - but the game itself is boring and really just feels like a list of stuff to collect with a presentation that is close to as clinical as possible I don't really know how to rate something like that. Maybe I just need to change my thinking on what makes a game 'good', but for me it just wasn't worth spending that much time with, and holding it up to a bunch of games with stronger craft and auteurism behind them just seems really strange to me I don't feel the same way about stuff like Minecraft and Fortnite mind you, I'm too old for that shit but it clearly belongs on a game of the decade list <cite>Paratroopa1 posted [p:928762523] in Paste maga... People connected over that game on a scale never before seen. Youd be out and could see who else was playing the game and it felt like this social phenomenon that made the experience of playing the game much more significant than just the sum of its mechanics. Theres a good chance ill never play it again, but my time with it around launch is probably my favorite gaming experience of the decade. Maybe it's just because I didn't like Pokemon Go as much but thinking back on playing it in its heyday isn't really something I do a lot.
