Though I've probably seen gay characters on tv and film since I was old enough to sit up on my own. I can't imagine a sex-ed class not bringing it up. Vegy posted... This is important because MANY gay children don't even know people can BE gay when they start having gay attractions. Straight people can't really imagine how confusing that is or how harmful it can be to grow up in some of the environments gay kids grow up in. It would also help minimize homophobia spread among children.
